i do not believe mariano gonzales will play well in "3" of 4-3-1-2. i mean, a flashy winger in that position have high probability to be a bad choice. i did not see much of him last season. but from the little i have seen i think he is not an MC, perhaps could play as an AMC, as "1" in the 4-3-1-2.

From what i saw from Mariano whin he was at Racing Club (with Diego Milito)

and whin he was at Palermo..he do his best whin he play "1" of 4-3-1-2..

but also he is good in "3" in the right or lift.

If we are to continue with this tactic, signing M. Gonzales is equally stupid as letting Pizarro go.

Makes me mad.

Good point. However, I don't believe that we will, seeing that we are very limited in the central midfielders department and can't afford to use 3 central midfielders in the formation for the most part of the season. We only have Dacourt, Cambiasso, Vieira and Stankovic who can play as '3' in the 4-3-1-2 formation.

JZ can also play in that role and I am sure solari can as well. So we aren't really that depleted in those roles.

Well Javier Zanetti can play anywhere, obviously. However, the 4 players I mentioned are the ones who are most comfortable at playing in that position. That is to say, other players would have preferred to play elsewhere.

I think we are going to see more of him today. I highly doubt Mancio is going to risk Figo for this clash and even if he does he is going to take him out for the majority if not all of the second half. Mariano will prolly be the first person to get a look at when Mancio is looking for a sub in the midfield.

A purchase would be a dead end. He may impress in Coppa, but anywhere else he doesn't seem to have what it takes. There's a reason that he hasn't got any chances (except Bayern, but we were qualified). Haven't impressed an awful lot either, except vs Empoli at home.

We don't really need Mariano but I think we should try to keep him on for another season because it could be when he really shines...

I think he will leave this summer ... as it is it was a loan deal.

I will remeber him for the thunderous effort that left Oli Kahn clutching at thin air - helpless and hoping it does nt go in

A player who will always be the Pirlo of Inter. The type of player who had to enter the pitch, with the fans wanting him to be awesome in whatever minute he played.

But for me, not been given the chance to be rated in an honest way. Been fantastic in the Coppa Italia, but one start in Serie A (against Sampdoria) and some 10 minutes sub will overshine that.

I hope his next team is a team that will give him a fair chance to prove himself.

Well the chance to see him play was hurt when we decided to remove wingers from our tactics...

To be honest,i have no problem with him staying as a bencher,he is a great player and if he was given a chance he would have played better but if he accepts the bench at inter he is welcome to stay.

Anways for the 3 in the middle,we have Javier-Vieira-Cambi And dacourt as the substitute,we need another(ALMIRON)

I don't understand why we don't play this guy more. He would be a great sub to have to play somewhere in the 50 minute range. I think we should at least let him prove to other clubs that he is a good player in order to raise interest and get more money for him if we are to transfer him. Give him play time!

Almiron is 99% joining the B side of Torino, as far as I know.
