Anyway, i don't think Tottenham will splash that kind of money. Plus Valencia really loves him and will ask him to stay for sure. Also Kdog likes Marcelino and Valencia.

Surely spending 80m on Kondogbia is stupid, but not accepting it is even more stupid. Hopeefully this goes through for our own good.

Total bullshit.

Tell me one reason why Spurs would spend that much on Kondogbia? Why would they spend even 30m€ on Kondogiba?

As said in another thread, they have both Wanyama and Dier, both MILES better than k-dog. They've also spent max 40mil on a player (Davinson Sanchez....stud, not crap).

This rumor is 10000% bs.

Tottenham looking to pay Kondogbia's release clause (€80M), Inter are hoping because...
TRANSFER MARKET

After an excellent season in La Liga under the guidance of coach Marcelino which earned him a permanent transfer to Valencia at the end of the loan year, now Geoffrey Kondogbia is tempted by several European clubs. As reported by France Football, the Frenchman, despite having a contract until 2022 with the Spanish club, is liked a lot by Tottenham of Mauricio Pochettino. The English club is so “seduced” by Kondogobia’s performances last season and is willing to pay the entire release clause of 80 million euros, one that was put in his contract on May 24th.

For now, Spurs have started the conversation with the player; meanwhile, Inter are observing this situation carefully, hoping for it to go through. Why? Because the Nerazzurri have 25% of any future resale and if he is sold for his release clause figure, Inter would collect 20 million euros.

Kdog was shit for us, but what he showed with Monaco, Sevilla and Valencia was/is way better than that overrated prick Dier ever will be.

Lest we forget, Dembele has also not left Tottenham and by several accounts seems happy to stay at Tottenham for the last year of his contract and I'm sure Poch would be happy to keep him too.

As well as this, has anyone paid attention to how Tottenham operate? Daniel Levy is the tightest bastard on earth when it comes to spending money. He would probably spend the season in hospital if someone seriously suggested he authorise an 80m transfer for anyone, never mind spending it on Kondogbia.

How can you just switch national team? Pretty sure he has been called up by the senior France national team before right?

I'm no fan of Kondogbia, but I have nothing against him for this. If anything it's a realistic assessment that he will never regularly get into that French side.

Bizarre, he’s still only 25 playing in a CL team, he knows deschamps semi likes him having been in quite a few squads. It took Nzonzi years to get in to the squad but he got there and ended up at the WC. He could make this decision in his late 20s, surely 15 caps for France are worth a lot more than a team that will never even qualify for the Afcon.

Guys, let's be honest. The Central African Republic probably offered him the captaincy of the national team in a few months and a major paycheck. When offered that option, or playing once every two years for France when their regulars are being rested, it's an easy choice.

Can Central African Republic football association really offer that paycheck? Bigger than France?

Of course “some money” is bigger than “zero”, isn’t it? :D Because Kdog isn’t (and probably never) called up for France while even Rabiot is staying at home.

The possibility of being summoned by France isn't necessarily zero in the future though.

You pretty much just have to continue to do well with València.

I would only consider it if he knows for a fact that there is zero chance of being selected. Otherwise I wouldn't go scrambling for the sake of just "some money". It's quite a career throw away move tbh.
