Funny you should say that since Atletico fans are hyping him up right now.

I guess they really wanna see Barca or Madrid win the league.

I'm skipping through the channels looking for the Inter and I see this guy on the field for Atletico. Suddenly it all became clear how they managed to throw away a commanding lead in the league.

Boy do you hold a grudge.

Good dribble but awful passing, which somehow dissipated the effect of his dribbling. Anyway, I'm happy that he left, as otherwise it would be very unlikely Brozo got moved as registra.

just a small friendly reminder that he wasn't all bad

poor guy

we really had a lot of dribblers at that time, K-Dog, Alvarez, Telles, Kovačić
He had some skills but he didn't have the right mentality to succeed at a top club. A club like current Valencia was his level. No idea why Cholo brought him to Atletico. Probably a panic buy after Partey departure.

Still won a La Liga with Atletico and a Copa del Rey with Valencia.

I wouldn't necessarly say Brozović looked like a winner either, but he was slowly molded into an important piece.

I'll say K-Dog was bought at the wrong time, wrong team. Inter's midfield back then, fuck it, whole squad, was a catastrophe. I like it that he turned his career around, but truly he was never meant to be as good as Kovačić was, which is clear.

Look, I'm not saying he lighted the world on fire or been a constant starter for them, he wasn't. I'm even saying Inter wasn't the right club for him (and for that price, sheesh), especially at the time. What he needed was go straight to Spain/EPL and maybe now he'd be lots better (or maybe not - but the point stands).

I don't wanna compare players in bad enviroments, these are all good athletes we are talking about and what defines somebody as world class is being a constant beacon of light for the team. Inter banter era was a shitshow. It's players who are in a big club that is at the top but they aren't performing good enough that I say they don't have the right mentality to succeed.

Well, that's my way of looking at it. Surely we both agree while Muntari was a good athlete, nobody would build a team around him. Same with K-Dog. But these are set pieces that are in every team and clearly Inter didn't know what to do with K-Dog. Same with Brozović, to an extent, until Spalletti gave him a well defined role, he was a winger/CM ffs

Come on man. It's like saying Muntari won triplete or Gagliardini won Serie A. Sure they did but their contribution was minimal. Same case with Kondogbia in Atletico's win.
Should've mentioned Pinto.

I think if Kondogbia joined a good Inter he would have been a solid transfer. He was never going to be Yaya Toure or whatever but he would have been a useful player and honestly till this day we are still lacking a physical presence in midfield. The issue with him though is I don’t know if he ever could have played as the deepest man in midfield like a Casemiro or Fabinho do. He always looked more comfortable in a tandem at the base of midfield. Atletico play with a tandem so that’s a better fit for him.

He certainly has the physique of a physical player, but doesn't have the mindset of a DM or a range of a regista. So this video is kinda a trap, he could've been bigger for us, but we just didn't figured him out yet.

I wanted to post the random dribbling/tackling compilation to show that he wasn't utter shit as a player himself. We like to talk how shit some of our players were, well when out form he definitely was useless, but I wouldn't like to dwell on the negatives all the time.

I'm sure shitters like Joao Mario and Alvaro Pereira have shorter Inter "highlights", but K-dog wasn't as impactful as Kovačić was
