‘Kondogbia a Valencia bargain’

Valencia boss Marcelino claims his side have landed themselves a bargain in former Inter midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, who cost €25m.

Valencia redeemed their option to buy Kondogbia on Thursday after a 2017-18 campaign that yielded four goals in 36 appearances from the Frenchman and a Champions League finish in La Liga.

“He’s a player who really did everything possible to join Valencia,” the Coach told Marca.

“He was the true architect of his performances. We always try to convey security and confidence to our players, and he earned it.

“Our work was very simple. Once you’ve considered the figures and his performance, I’d say that we’re talking about a player who’s been bought for little.”

We were so desperate to offload this fucker because of the way he's behaved. It didn't help that it was way too late in the summer, and his shitty performances for 2 years made it even harder.

We were very lucky at that time to find a club willing to take him specially after that world class own goal. However, what I'm pissed at is including an 'option to buy' clause or setting it at such a low figure. We should've just loaned him there, make Valencia want him so bad, increase his market value, and then do a Cancelo to them. At worst, he could've been sold somewhere else for a higher price.

Tottenham open discussions for Geoffrey Kondogbia

Premier League side Tottenham have opened discussions with French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, who was recently bought by Valencia after a successful loan spell from Inter Milan, according to France Football.

The outlet claims that there are a number of teams willing to activate Kondogbia’s release clause, but that Tottenham are currently the most forceful.

Yup, I just hope they sell him for big money; in the end, there is actually a chance we can break even on this guy. I believe we got him for 38 million and sold him for 25 million. I never doubted that Kdog would do a lot better than JMario and many members here were laughing. I don't get how some people here like specific players because of good short spells in a weak league.
