I saw those highlights too, dude needs to work on his finishing big time and just mature up in general. Even here, he had like 3 easy as fuck chances to bury that Serie C team we played, Pordenone. And there was another instance where he was 1v1 I think at Udine, but went for the highlight reel smash into the top corner and hit the crossbar when he should've just secured the goal and side footed into the net.

You can't compare ligue 1 to Serie A.

But yeah, Karamoh seems to be the real deal and huge player in potential. I believe that last season, when he trained under Spalletti and played with players like Icardi, Perisic and etc, improved him a lot, and we did a right move when we let him go on loan, i believe that next season he will compete for the LW position with Politano and maybe Keita.

If the coach trusted him i would agree with you but Spalletti doesn't seem to rate him as high as we do. He would be even behind Candreva in the pecking order. On the other hand, Keita was a personal request of Spalletti. He even chose him over Vidal if rumours are to be believed. So, i think we did the best both for the team and Karamoh's development.

Interesting article which focuses on Karamoh's performace, sounds like he's still lacking in tactical awareness and discipline but these are things that can be easily fixed with proper and consistent coaching. Hope their coach is a good fit, at least he is not being used as sparingly as some of our past loan-outs. Praying for a Coutinho post Espanyol level of improvement.
