I wrote a rather long comment for Icardi in Bulgarian forum of Inter. I will write it here too.

Constantly read the comments and rumors about our captain. It makes me strong impression that Icardi has fiercely criticized by most fans of the team and the reason is his wife (and his agent) Wanda Nara, so I decided to write a few lines. When I should to praised or defended him, I do it! But in this post I definitely will not write good things about him. I feel obliged to do it, because quite often I've been determined to his greatest admirer and defender. Too bad, because the cause of these criticisms from me aren't his actions on the field (which really should comment), but his actions off the field.

In fact, if I have to be honest, I am also empathetic with the majority of the fans and justify their anger. Above all, I'm a fan of Inter! I do not know what exactly they seek with this whole media circus, but I suspect most likely that this is a new contract with higher wages (not transfer). I don't think, however, that this is the right way.

Not to mention that a few days ago Wanda has followed juventus on Twitter, which can be checked on her official page at any one time. This is more than a disgraceful act and I can not justify in any way. She or they (I don't know) even attempts to bend the hands of our leadership with some rumors and speculations like that Icardi is desired by juventus, milan, napoli and half the world, and this only to raise his salary... This disgusts me even more.

Look the former captains like Bergomi and Zanetti. Names that represent loyalty, devotion, leadership skills and genuine love to Inter. Unfortunately, I don't see none of these qualities from Icardi, or at least he didn't show them by his actions lately. A true captain who love this club will never do likewise. To be the captain of Inter is a recognition, that not everyone gets and not everyone deserves. Truly sad to me that having to say it, but there's nothing to curve my soul. I believe (or at least want to be so) that journalists largely confuse us even more as decorate any news, any rumor and anything, that can be sold more.

And yet, despite all that has happened so far, Icardi hasn't said a bad word about Inter. On the contrary, each time he stating his desire to continue his career in Inter, but ... you can not not know what he is doing his wife, but I think it remains slightly indifferent and passive in this situation (I don't know why). But I still remember perfectly what beardless and humble guy was, when he came from Sampdoria (ah, how I miss this time!). And didn't have some fucking journalist who catch them cornered with targeted questions? If this was in Bulgaria, our media would find Wanda at home and will eat her with the rags.

I was always against his transfer and currently also continue to be opposed. The reason is that in the best case will take 50 million (with a lot of elbow grease) and I'm more than sure that we will not buy adequate his deputy and the money will go just the wind. I really don't see a player on transfer market with the same qualities, age and efficiency in the penalty area like Mauro, who would agree to play in Inter. The market became cruel in recent years and you can see what amounts are sprayed for players like Candreva. Lotito want 30 million? Haha... he didn't drink his pills. A while ago, I read a comment in the forum, that if we get offer for Icardi with the range of 25-30 million, we should not think so much and sell him. And who will buy people? Maxi Lopez or players like Eder and Palacio, which will never go back to where we belong. With such a transfers we increasingly bogged down in the swamp of mediocrity.

Sell him, get Calleri and G. Jesus.

Something has to be said: Calleri looked good in yellow socks and he's more or less used to the colors. #wandajuniors

So you don't believe that Wanda criticizing Inter and continuously talking to the media is an extension of Icardi's thoughts? Okay.

If he didn't like what she was saying, he would have shut her up weeks ago.

Wanda reminds me so much of a typical Milan wife. She'll be in for a rude awakening if they move on to another city.

Anyways my point is and was that we re not gonna be better of with 50 mio in our hands and Icardi gone.
This is hypothetical. Like I said previously, it is not guaranteed that things will only get worse for us if we lose him. It could, but also it couldn't. I remember a few games from last season which we played way better when Icardi didn't play particularly that 3-0 win against Juventus in the Coppa Italia game, and that 1-2 loss against Napoli which we started to be more threatening after Icardi was taken off and even managed to almost get a draw had it not been for the bloody post which we struck 2 times.

Losing Icardi might also mean we'll play with a new formation or system or style or whatever it is. Instead of the 'feed it to Icardi' or 'just whip in those crosses of faith into the box hoping Icardi will get at the end of it' style or whatever clueless style of football that we are playing now, it could possibly get us to play a new style of football altogether (can be for the better or the worse of course, let's just hope it'd be for the better). Just like the time when we lost Ibrahimovic, some people thought it could only get worse for us but what happened then was history. Instead of the 'pass it to Ibra and let him just work out his magic' style of football, we started to play a different style of football and it was so effective that we won the treble.

A wakeup call in London would be good for both of them. All the rain will piss down on her parade. 50 M sounds really good for him right about now. Hope we sell, and get rid of both of them fast.

Sadly Wanda and obviously Icardi dealt with this the worst way. Never been a great fan of Icardi, as I have never like pure poacher. Hope we get good cash from his sale and get a good replacement. Risky, yeah for sure but we can definitely move on without him. Inter management must utilize the cash to buy a quality (above average atleast, if we can't buy world striker) though.

This has been handled the worst way indeed. He's the team captain for fuck sake Wanda. You really made a bad move there. It's simply not acceptable to make this kind of public debacle about a contract situation if you're supposed to be the front face of the team.

I truly, truly hope Inter management don't eat this shit.

I don't care if we sell him, but we need a proven striker that can score 15-20/season minimum. Who will that be?

One playing for Leverkusen and went for dirt cheap. Also he doesn't come with shit agent and baggage.

Arsenal have a lot of money. Maybe Inter should say €60m or fuck off, and hope they bite. In a market where Juve demand 120m for Pogba and Napoli demand 90m for Higuain, surely we can demand 60m for Icardi...

Arsenal have lot of money but they don't spend. One of the reason why Arsenal fans are furious.

IMO Inter should ask for lot as Arsenal are running out of targets now.

I agree that it s all hypothetical thats why i said i guess well see once he leaves. And yes there were games were we looked better without icardi.
But what i wont buy is your argument that we ll play a better style when icardi is gone. I mean as if icardi would not actually profit from a decent game plan or a player like banega who actually can pass. Blame Icardi for what ever you want but the shitty football and system we play is fucking Mancinis fault. I guarantee you that as long as he is here we ll have a shitty ass system and well be playing booring football with as many wb s and Dms on the fireld as possible.

I really hate it if Icardi stays and Wanda manages to get a bump to his contract.
