@brehme1989 any truth in the rumors about Icardi and PAO?
Highly doubt it. Guy's current salary is almost as much as the entire roster, don't see him wanting to cut that in more than half to swim over

i still laugh at how this moron ruined his own career

irrespective of playing style, he should be on top of the world at the moment, instead he will finish his career with 8 caps for Argentina

probably some of the most wasted potential at inter since adriano?

He was a great finisher but lacks in everything else. For me the wasted potential are players like Balotelli and Adriano. Balotelli was amazing for he's age. I will never understand what he did and why. Big talent but small brain....

I don't disagree but you can't look at how his career has gone and said that was he ceiling of his potential

He for sure would play at least for a decent team and had a decent career instead of what he's doing now at turkye. But Adriano and Balotelli had potential to become one of the best that could win the balon dor some day.

yeah i agree. I do feel its unfair to put adriano in the bucket, he lost his father and reacted very poorly to that - its some ways a question of mentality, but also, bad luck in life. Balotelli is pure wasted potential because of his attitude and ego, Icardi is pure wasted potential because of his arrogance and wife, Adriano ran into some really unfortunate circumstances. I fully understand him, tbh, and get how hard it can be to recover.

Wasted potential for sure, but not at Inter. He got on top 10 Inter scorers of all time, that's a thoroughly impressive feat. I'd say instead that he was unlucky to have played with some very subpar players here because he deserved a scudetto or two for his effort. Right place at the wrong time.

Wasted potential after Inter? Definitely. Balotelli had wrong priorities, Adriano had personal trauma. Icardi seems to have right priorities (family, as much as we may disagree) and he simply doesn't care enough about football. Balotelli probably has some regrets, I doubt Icardi has any to be honest.

as bench player maybe. But with Conte and Simone he would have no place. Icardi would be too selfish for the 3-5-2. Lautaro Thuram and Lukaku are hard working players. Someone who is only waiting for the ball infront of the goal would only stop simone ball. Generelly i think that players like Icardi are not made for winning important titles like Serie A. At least not now where football is getting fast and based more on teamwork. That's also why i liked to compare him with Pippo Inzaghi in the past.

you mean HAD the right priorities because he's depressed now after separating (again) with Wanda. Apparently he lost 6kg, some people at Gala said he's depressed and lost a lot of muscles.

This is all hypothetical "what if" with no real basis to back it up with. When Icardi first arrived here he scored goals outside the box, he also played with another striker and did pretty well (Palacio, Osvaldo). It's not the player who dictates the formation and tactics but the coach. If anything, the things that actually went to happen for real go against what you are saying because our first title since was won by Conte who pretty much molded the entire team, including Lautaro, in order to provide service for Lukaku.

Fair enough  I was under impression that they were doing well.

Unpopular opinion but Lukaku is better in raw talent than Lautaro.
Even tho in other aspect hes just a cry baby while Lauti is grown up man emotionaly who knows what he wants this is why he gets better every year..

And same as Icardi hes nowhere the level of Balotelli ... i wont name Adriano in that aspect cause is laughable.
Adriano was world class attacker only Ronaldo was better than him

But Lukaku was not Icardi. He knows how to defend the ball and is physically good. 1on1 he was unstoppable.

I mean it shouldn’t be unpopular. Lukaku’s 20-21 season was better than Lautaro’s 23-24 season and that’s when both were at their best. We’ll see if Lauti can go up to an even higher level but as things stand Lukaku’s season remains the highest level an Inter striker has reached since Eto’o 10-11

Galatasaray forward line is Osimhen, Icardi, Batshuayi and Mertens.

Meanwhile we will give significant minutes to Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa
