Shame about the injury right when he was really growing into the team. Hopefully he can rest during the international break and be ready for the tough run we have after the break.

Not really happy with his performance, whole team is disorganised partly because of his poor positioning and controlling. You cannot expect other players understand what you want if you rarely play together, be involved.

Not only that, but Asllani doesn't seem to be at "ease" with the ball - controlling the flow of the game and dictating the pace of the game.
Hakan and Brozo was superb with their calm attitude and ability to ease of the pressure on our players.

Regista is probably the hardest position to play in. Asllani is well liked by his teammates but he really needs to learn how to dictate the tempo better

No complaints from me. If he continues to play regularly he will be a gem in few years. I dont know why I see Kovacic in him, footballing and personality wise.

I wouldn't call Hakan a regista. He's more of a playmaking central mid back deep than a regista.

Asllani is neither. He just has a few matching characteristics with these players.

It's a new role for him and it's not easy to pull off.

That first half was rough to watch… Glad he got the chance to redeem himself a bit in the second.

I think he clearly has talent, but I can’t see him as someone inter can count on anytime soon. He’s just not there mentally.

If he was excellent at the registra position at the age of 22, we would have sold him already for a hefty money.

The lad is developing well, he needs more time. Anyway, I think Inzaghi could give him more playing time, not only as a registra but in a more advanced role as well. The likes of Brozovic and Hakan were rotated in all of the mid spots before to take that position. This will be valuable experience for him.

He played 90 minutes of Serie A total this season, that's laughable. Regista needs routine, needs hours of work where certain moves and passes get on auto-pilot mode.
I can't remember the last time we had a player like this on our hands - raw talent with great attitude/mentality whose progress solely depends on our effort to make him click.

I just really want to see this guy make it but I'm also almost sure that Inzaghi won't risk it with second star at stake. Coppa games and single digit minute cameos are his tragic reality.

The issue for me is that Inzaghi threw him in with literally all subs and guy was 3x more under pressure.

Took brozo a bit to get going, not saying he will become brozo but yes lets give him time, he has some very interesting qualities (long range passes are pure fucking porn)

Like I said, he looks like second tier Kovačić. His positioning is terrible, his defending is bad, he has a good long ball, and some kind of vision. But that is not good enough for top team like Inter. But he is still young and raw so we can hope he will turn to be much better. This right now is not good enough.

If you put 22 years old Brozovic or Hakan in his shoes, almost the same things could be said about them. I just watched the second half, and he had some very good passes. I think even the pass to Dimarco was his, when Barella hit the post. He needs to work more on defense and positioning, but considering how little he plays, I don't have complaints.

But when you compare him to 21 years old Tonali it cant be said same for him.

Tonali had much more experience because he was labeled as a talent much earlier. Asllani started at Empoli, and even there he was rotational player as far as remember. Tonali is not a registra currently. And, I don't see why we shall compare them. We have a talented player, who could turn to a very decent at the age of 25, if he is developed properly. Lautaro also was very raw and frustrating at moments when he came. But slowly he turned to our leading striker.

It's normal bro. That whas what always happen when you gamble with a kid.

Age does not matter. But how many first team minutes at a big club under his belt. Milan trusted Tonali and Dollar much sooner than us & Asllani. They made clumsy mistakes, tons, during their first period too.

The most important thing is whether the kid could learn from such and polish their flash of talents. Which Asllani does show.

Asllani started playing at Empoli only when Ricci was sold to Torino. He came to Inter with just 6 months experience at any pro level (not just Serie A). When you signed him you should have known you're getting a promising but raw kid that needs development.

Yeah comparisons to Tonali are not fair. Tonali had 1,5 seasons of Serie B experience as starter and then one Serie A season, before he arrived to Milan.

Comparisons between players are a bit useless when going into details since each player has their own path as they are unique individuals. In general level you can make comparisons, of course, but the parameters need to be fair.

Asllani with his body language, facial expressions and all doesn't look like he's gonna crumble ever.

While its clear that we need to give time to this kid to grow, i am wondering if its worth trying him in a more advanced position as well.
He has great regista skills with his long passes but since the defensive positional awareness is clearly not there i am not sure if its better to wait and improve his weaknesses or focus on his strengths and see if he can actually be played like Mikhy
