Reports in Spain state that Valencia have decided to buy Geoffrey Kondogbia outright from Inter in the summer.

The French midfielder is on loan with the Liga side, who have the option to make the deal permanent for €25m.

After forcing his way out in the summer and admitting he struggled with the pressure, Kondogbia is virtually certain not to return to the Nerazzurri, but so far there has been no movement from Valencia.

However, Super Deporte reports that the club assured Kondogbia at the weekend that they do intend to pay the clause.

At this point it’s not clear if they will pay the entire €25m, or do a deal which sees Joao Cancelo stay at Inter permanently.

---

I hope they pay it, so the future sell-on clause is activated.

Hopefully this also means that Cancelo to Inter is a done deal.

Valencia to sign Kondogbia
By Football Italia staff

Reports in Spain suggest Valencia have confirmed their intention to buy Geoffrey Kondogbia outright from Inter.

Los Che took the French midfielder on loan in the summer, with Joao Cancelo going the other way.

Valencia can buy Kondogbia outright before May 31, and Cadena Ser is reporting that they have informed the Nerazzurri they intend to do so.

The deal will be worth €25m, payable over four years, with a significant sell-on fee in favour of the Beneamata.

However, Inter could remove that clause in an effort to sign Cancelo permanently, as they have Financial Fair Play targets to meet.

His buyout clause expires on the same day and is believed to be worth €35m, but the Nerazzurri can’t spend before June 30 if they want to meet their FFP commitments.

They could therefore agree with Valencia to pay in July, in return for removing Kondogbia’s sell-on clause.

ye, i know, but i fought we got pure cash 25 for him.

not every player can be bought with payments over years, we need to have some cash

thats why positive cash flow is as important and ffp obligations

Every transfer fee is due in installments, unless they're ridiculous release clause's like Neymar's.

Bummed I was hoping we made it part of the Cancelo deal and asked for a 5 million discount.

Now at this point that we are getting 25 mill for him unless they sell us Cancelo for a big discount I say pass. 35 is too much for him he is still way too green

Not even Rabiot made the WC squad. France is just too stacked.

The real sad part is people don't even mention him when they list the french players who missed out.
