I think we can't speak about possible players in midfield until we know who will be our next manager and what his tactic plans are. We can't buy a winger if we are going to play with 4-1-2-1-2 and we don't need a dm if we will use 4-2-3-1 .
The only thing that is sure is that we need a lwb regardless of the manager....

I would accept Rivas and Burdisso back and see if they have made progress. Both have had periods at Inter and their current clubs where they looked solid enough, but whether they can do it for a whole season is another matter.

But for midfielders, the list reads: Kolarov, Vargas, Gourcuff.

I also rate Moussa Sissoko out of Toulouse, but he is still developing.

Rivas is rubbish. Burdisso had a solid season at Roma but I don't want him back. I'd rather we just sell him and hopefully get some decent coin for him.

Inler would be a nice addition. Well used to Serie A and has usually impressed me when I've caught Udinese or the Swiss in action. I'll watch him more carefully when the World Cup rolls around.

Yeah thats what really pissing me off about this whole situation. We can't really speculate on who we will go for because we don't know for sure what direction we will be taking.

Mancini to be evaluated. Milan needs to pay €3.7 million to redeem.

Pay it bitches! :D

Yep definitely will do the same, I'm interested to see how he will perform at the World Cup. He had a good Euro 2008, so let's hope he'll attract some attention this summer too.

I don't think Moratti and the Inter management will be too keen on significantly changing any area of our squad regardless of who the new manager will be. I think over the season Moratti and Branca got pretty good ideas from themselves and Mourinho on how the squad should be improved and so i think they'll follow that road. That's why I think the names that have been mentioned in the past are still in the game.

Some players will be signed regardless of the manager. The area where they really need the coaches input is midifield other areas can be handled by branca.

http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/ital...er-gokhan-inler-focusing-on-world-cup-rather-

Some rumors starting to appear regarding Gokhan Inler like the one above...they say his Udinese future is in doubt and he might go to Napoli. He could also leave Italy for Germany or England but he would prefer not to. Apparently he even turned down Arsenal last season :|

Pretty interesting IMO. I've always said he'd be the perfect addition to our midfield and I believe we should bid for him, so I guess it's nice to see he could be unsettled. Hopefully Inter takes a look at him.
I won't mind this signing. I'm pretty satisfied with the way T.Motta ends his season but getting Inler will further add to our squad depth.

As I've said before, I'd very much prefer Gerrard but if we can't get him, then I'd like us to really try for Inler.

This would be a very good move for us and I am not saying to be a confirmed starter but to be like the 12-13th player. He can always fight for the starting position and if he proves his worth, he will surely get it.

It's clear to me that all our midfield needs is a suitable complement to Sneijder and one who is a solid distributor of the ball. In other words a more consistent version of Motta. We are already set defensive wise with Cambiasso, Zanetti, and Mariga and Khrin for the future, so we need an attack-minded midfielder. Inler.

Motta was brought in to be that distributor and he began to show why he was brought here towards the end of the season. But he has also shown he is quite prone to being inconsistent. Although Inler has a lot of room to improve, I just see him as a player to better fit that mold than Motta. And like Pravesh said, if he is good, he will get to play.

As for Gerrard, I don't know what to think. He'd obviously be better than Inler but with Mourinho gone the chances of him coming here are small seeing as how Mourinho wanted him. Also, a few days ago Moratti said he was not a realistic target yet I see the story has now reversed once again and rumors have started to fly once more. So he could come, but for now I'll assume he won't.

Plus, I'd still pick Inler over Gerrard because Inler already knows the league so he wouldn't need much time to settle, is younger, and IMO would be more motivated for such a step in his career than Gerrard would be. Plus Gerrard has shown signs of declining as opposed to Inler who has attracted some sort of attention for the past couple of years now. And if he has a good WC, that attention is sure to increase.

Nothing new really in that story. We've read that five times before. It's funny how media circulates with these stories even if they don't have anything to add to the case. Like this one, not even one new thing comes up when reading that shit, just the same speculation. :D One thing which usually identifies the speculation or rumor is the length of the story. That long like in this Gerrard article, and we can be sure it's just speculation by reporter and no new rumor has come up. Short articles are the interesting ones, they are usually holding some piece of new rumor.

If Rafa Benny Hill comes, then we can forget about Steven Gerrard.

Why? We don't know yet if Gerrard is frustrated with Benitez or if he's been brainwashed by Rafa that Liverpool's lack of success is because of Liverpool's 'reluctance' to spend money.

Benitez and Capello, 2 of the coaches linked with us the most, are now coaching Gerrard. One way or the other, the rumors of him going to us will grow stronger and I'm lovin' it!

of course he's frustated with Rafa. Why'd he be frustrated with the club if he knows the club cannot be flexible, while Rafa is parading and shitting on the team and digging the club's grave.

Recalcati's site with the same parma story that gds had a few days ago. Only difference is they have it as the full card of jimenez instead of 50%. Mariga and biabany to inter fully and €10 million to parma. With co-ownerships of obi and nwankwo. The site doesn't mention where the two kids play, gds said inter.

But it seems we can consider this as pretty much done since a few sites are now reporting this news.

They can have Jimenez, he's not good enough for Inter, and there's no point continuing to loan him out or mess around with co-ownership.
