i would love de rossi after all he is one of the secure players in italian nt. We need a italian in starting 11 and he is a great player but idk if he would move to us.

We definitely need some reinforcements to our midfield. Cambiasso is in need of a back-up (Veloso?) and a CM with some offensive flair. Motta I thought had a very good 2nd half of the season but it'd still be nice to have some more depth. Deki is getting a bit long in the tooth while Mariga and Muntari don't add much from an attacking point of view. Any news on Stevie G?

Cambiasso's back up next year should be Mariga. The little I saw of him impressed me. I think Mariga will bring more offensively that Cambiasso does. I think we should offload Muntari to Tottenham, they will be making moves now that their in the Champions League. Then we should either bring in somebody world class or somebody relatively young with some potential (Veloso fits the bill). However Veloso may have been a Mourinho thing (same agent). The new manager will probably have his own ideas. I can't really think of a realistic world class option that I would actually like to come to Inter. I think Gerrard is a expensive gamble and tied to Liverpool for life. However I wouldn't mind seeing Ever Banega or Aquilani come in. I think both could help our midfield a lot with ball possession as well as production.

A few days ago Steven Gerrard announced tha he will decide about his future after the World Cup has finished.By the way i believe that Steven is what we need in order to enforce our midfield area.With Esteban they will work perfect together, the one at defensive game and the other at the offensive.

capello never use 4231 for serie a , he usualy use a flat 442 and maybe he wants to put eto'o more forward, not as winger

Disagree with you there Cafe. Certain players will be bought regardless of the manager while certain positions needs the manager strict input. Also considering italian teams can't officially buy anyone till 1 July its normal for the rumors to be more silent.

If Capello will be our coach, Sneijder won't be playing in the middle with only one DM. In Italy Capello uses two def midfielders to cover the central area of the pitch.

With flat 4-4-2, Sneijder could be pushed to the wing to a free role. A bit like Nedved at Juve. Of course that "winger" position would be just for the formation on the paper, it's clear Sneijder would be moving to the middle a lot to allow Kolarov to advance (attacking wing back would be essential in 4-4-2).

Eto'o-Milito pairing could be a problem in this formation. Capello likes ST/SS pair for obvious reasons. This is why it would be extremely interesting to get Capello. To see how he would use our squad and to what direction he would build the squad.

Well yeah you are right. At least those young CBs will be bought irregardless of the coach.

4-4-2 isnt fit for Inter, Capello will mostly play a 4-3-1-2 or a 4-2-3-1 when attacking. Even Mou coudnt fit his formation when he started.

I wouldn't mind Xabi Alonso either, he is a pretty good long passer and we could have some creativity from further back as well instead of just getting the ball to Sneijder and hope he does something.

Vargas and Kolarov in the same line-up ????There is just one classic midfielder in your 4-4-2 line-up(Cambiasso) and 3 wing backs(maicon,kolarov,vargas) There will be big hole in the middle if we play like this.

i think we need to buy 2 or 3 new players this summer and then we will be again OK.
but if we want to win again Ch.League then we need:
1.Gerrard -- he is like Zanetti and he will help us much
2.Vargas -- everybody knows what shot power he have and how fast he go in recharge
3.Joe Cole -- damn he got speed,we need him because Joe and Eto will start one fast recharge helping by Gerrard and Milito.
and in last and in this season in Ch.League we need to play with recharge too,and everybody know that Capello play deff. game not off. but this is not bad for us cuz everybody knows that inter have the best deffenders in the world.
so my choices are:
