‘Inter, stop buying average players!’

Christian Vieri has urged Inter to stop “buying average players” and advised Andrea Belotti to join Milan “quickly”.

Inter have only signed Daniele Padelli, Milan Skriniar and Borja Valero this summer, while Belotti is one of several strikers that Milan are considering.

“Inter are in need of champions, enough of buying average players!” the ex-Italy forward, who also played for both clubs, told Sky Sport Italia.

“A new striker for Milan? Kalinic has more quality with the ball at feet, but I prefer Belotti because he's bigger, hungrier and more of a handful.

“Still, he must continue to fight like an animal. He reminds me of [Toro’s all-time top scorer Paolo] Pulici.

“I advise him to go to a big team quickly. He must make another leap in quality.”

Bobo is my third favorite striker after Ronaldo and Milito but his statement is wrong. What makes him think Milan are a 'big team'? Didn't Inter finish one place below them?

What does the size of a club have to do with how they performed in the previous season? Both Inter and Milan are top 10 clubs in Europe no matter what. It will takes ages of incompetence to lose that status and it's not happening in our lifetime.

He didn't imply or say that Inter is not a big team though.
