I hate the wages we're paying him but honestly look at our current situation. Which class player would want to join Inter these days?? Just look at our sad state. We have to pay people more to convince them of joining us. We have no choice.

Pay the right players more. We've signed a 34 year old. Wr already need a replacement for him and with his wages he shoukd be an absolute key player and difference maker, which i doubt he will. Imagine we also sign de fucking rossi. I'll be done with next season already

The comparison with Vidic is relevant because once again we're signing an old defender on a free, thinking we're doing smart business. It's more likely he'll be here on huge wages and not living up to expectations, like Nemanja before him, unless you believe he'll still be at top of his game during the 2018/2019 season.

The comparison with Melo is relevant because Pepe does some harsh tackles from time to time. Granted, Melo is a nutjob and Pepe got better ovet time, but I wouldn't bet money on him being red card-free during his time in Italy.

I can partly see your point, still i think Pepe would be a clever signing, not in the last place because he could come on a free. I only wonder whether he will be the remplacement of Miranda or his partner.

By the way i just saw that Pepe also missed quite some matches this season due to injuries...

One positive thing I can say about Pepe is that he does seem to bring the exact attitude the team lacks. There's a good chance that he will just replicate Vidic due to age, injuries and all that... but it's hard to see him being consumed by the omnipresent lack of confidence the team has had in the past 6 or so years.

This may turn out to be a decent move but I'm not too optimistic, in no way am I endorsing the transfer.

He's arriving for free. Overall cost will not be that high.

His wages over two years are gona be about €20 million euro.

Would rather keep Miranda and buy a younger CB. This must be a sick joke for those wages. Can't believe we never learn from mistakes.

Palacio fucking off at the end of the year covers like half of his wage bill anyway, plus any other shit we manage to not renew.

If were doing this and for those of you that would be happy for Inter to spend £20M on 34 year old Pepe, theres literally no hope. This has ''oh yeah lets give a player £20M in retirement pension'' writen all over it, add that we did this to Vidic ( YES pepe is better than vidic was when he got here etc etc BUT HES still 34 and injured half the season anyway) you gotte all have fucking alzheimers.

Big big NO NO if the amount is correct, theres 100 things to use that amount of money on more benefitial for both the future and the present. Wake the fuck up!

20m for 2 years plus most probably the Inter style renewal for old players. Also, no reselling value.

Gross yeah, 2 years of Pepe is half of Joao Mario's transfer fee alone regardless of wages.

Why are gross wages always brought up with free transfers? Pepe for 20 million for 2 seasons has a good chance of being better than buying an Ansaldi for 15 mil + whatever gross wage he is on.

Discussing 20 million in wages for 2 years when you buy Gabriel Barbosa for 30 to warm the bench the whole season.

Sorry but it's because Ansaldi is a horrible deal even for free, not because Pepe deal is good.

+50m alone wasted on two useless players. I wonder why we've fallen behind Atalanta and Lazio.

I'm not against signing Pepe. Yes, the wages are slightly concerning and he is old but if he managed to get into Real Madrid's lineup (the best team in the world currently) for 1460 minutes, why wouldn't he be able to get into our lineup?

I understand the skeptism but I think you guys are looking at this the wrong way. This signing is free! So, imagine if we already had Pepe in our team, would you let him go at the end of season or would you renew his contract for another season?

If he wasn't injured I would be 100% behind this signing but since he is injured I'm slightly skeptical. Depends on the contract length; if it's only 1 year then yes, if not, then no!
