I wonder how many red cards he would get playing for inter?
I think he would be an upgrade to our defense but i dont think it would be the smartest move to do.

So we're getting a 34 year old CB and we were complaining about Vidic's age. Okay

Miranda-Pepe at the back? Okay.

Hopefully Sabatini disapproves and goes for Manolas instead.

He hasn't gotten a red card in five years. Despite his reputation he's a smart and generally clean tackler. Too old to come here to be honest but maybe he'll help in the locker room.

What options should we put?

Do you want Pepe?
Yes, his experience is useful for a backline that has won fuck all and look clueless at times.

At times?

But he plays for RM and i ve seen a lot of games where he went in too reckless tackles or other stupid actions on the field and i think he got away a lot of the times cos he plays for RM.
At inter i could swear he ll get a red card in the first 2 months he s here.

Money is irrelevant apparently if you finish so low on the table...
Oblak's agent laughed when he was asked if his client wants to join Inter.

Not getting red cards lately with Real Madrid is irrelevant.

We're Inter. We're not a referee-friendly club. Pepe's reputation doesn't help either. He will get a red card if he sneezes.

Apparently Antonio Conte wanted Pepe at Chelsea. And now Pepe is coming to Inter :troll:

Don`t panic, it`s organic

Old school defender so I approve actualy...this new defenders are mostly sissy dolls
If you loved Matrix you will love Pepe too_Ok he is 34 but he is an experienced defender and those do rather well in Italy.
He was leading Portugal very well in the Euros I thought, very composed not nervous like in the past
He is certainly better than Medel or Murillo

Miranda-Pepe is pretty much Lucio-Samuel like tbh...
+1 he seems more secure and could do well in Italy. Competition is healthy and I'm sure we'll bring in another starter [like Manolas/Rudiger].

Real Madrid fans say Pepe is their best defender and feel sorry if he will leave Real this summer [most probably] and say he still got 2 good years in him. Sure, he has a bad reputation for his past, but seems to have matured now :trolldad:

I read that the Chinese offered him 45m for 3 years, so I wonder how much Suning will pay for him to sign + salary :palm:

Jesus. So, we skimped on RR and Milan signes him and Kessie, and here we are getting Pepe on a free. Wasnt this meant to be the other way round?

Comparisons with Vidic are spot on. Comparisons with Felipe Melo are also spot on.

Come on, Suning, this ain't the time to be cheap getting Pepe on a Bosman, spend your damn 150 million!

How are these comparisons 'spot on'? Firstly, Vidic had to play in a three-men defence and was injured very often. Second, Pepe isn't (by far) the dirty player who many people think he is. Melo on the other hand is.

The comparison with Vidic is relevant because once again we're signing an old defender on a free, thinking we're doing smart business. It's more likely he'll be here on huge wages and not living up to expectations, like Nemanja before him, unless you believe he'll still be at top of his game during the 2018/2019 season.

The comparison with Melo is relevant because Pepe does some harsh tackles from time to time. Granted, Melo is a nutjob and Pepe got better ovet time, but I wouldn't bet money on him being red card-free during his time in Italy.

Jeez he's 34? Maybe if we tried to sign him couple years ago, but way too old now.

Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano confirming it too. Their reports have no mention of Milan, only us. This should not be our main CB signing. Rudiger/Manolas please.
