Hip Hop is dying down

Could be, I am no expert, but I see Hip-Hop more a message than just mere music. And as long as the issues are there, Hip-Hop will never die.

IMHO, Rap is more like Pop, more noise than message.

Your no expert? You've got the same definition as I do. Some people say Rap are words and that Hip Hop is a way of living, too.

To me, Hip Hop is poetry and right now it's pretty rich. Now, sure, the radio and TV is full of un-talented morons, but I love my selected group of artist.

Hip Hop is alive and kicking to me, make no mistake!

didn't think it was better than Laugh now, cry later but still a decent effort by Busta.
Still it is a shame that the sales don't match his effort on the album, even with the massive advertising and promotion he got, the sales figures are rather disappointing for Busta, and he definetely would've cared.

liked the clip for his latest single, I could just tell either Dre or Eminem would make a cameo appearance.

Gangsta rap still exists in every coast, and id consider these guys rap compared to 50 cent Saz..who I consider to be mainstream pop..yes ill go that far.

Rap has gone down big time yes, but if you know where to look theres enough good shit being released...;)

My boy hal diddy won't say it so I'll just get it out for him: Bay area is all you need. :D

SoCal is still poppin too. Lots of hungry, young artists out there.

^Hip hop is no better than Rock/Metal...

Hip hop's just good for parties... Yet again, techno is better...

If your going to flood our thread with this non-sense, please just forget about it. You can go bash Hip Hop and all that good stuff in the Flamers Paradise, but this thread wasn't created for opinions on if it is good or how it compares to other genres of music.

Do not take this the wrong way, I just do not like this type of attitude. Tired of hearing about it. :)

Thanks for understanding where I'm coming from.

Never been a big fan of DMX or the Ruff Ryders myself. But, I've watched a show or two of his reality TV show where he is trying to get himself out to the public and basically promote himself, and boy is he a mess. It really seems like his life is winding down and he's close to hitting rock bottom.

I may be exagerrating but you get the point.

Am I the only one picking up all these new albums lately? And please by that I dont mean Busta Rhymes and etc...

Catanha, the new Hollow Tip isnt too bad but the best album was finally hearing Bo Loc's voice after finally being released from Prison, album inclused SP from Youngbloodz(south) and rappers from the East..not to mention some great WC appearences.

Bald Head Nut is back.

I think you are helal.
I've lost a bit of interest, but still keeping an eye on some albums coming out soon (ie. Jedi Mind tricks).....

Haven't read much on HT's new one, should I give it a go? When giving me advice, remember this; forza Lebanon!

ps. a plea to all fellow rap fans (mainly the little mainstream freaks)...
check the following out:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=bYgDR3oPp80

if anyone can somehow find out for me what the name of the 'lady' who says 'badaba' the second time (I realise how stupid this sounds) in the clip is, please share....
