I thought I never really said that Burdisso is like piece of crap. He hasn't done much wrong yes, ubt he hasn't really done anything match saving either. It comes with experience though and he is talented, but Matrix, Samuel, Cordoba can save matches for us in defence. Burdisso has got some time now and I'm sure he will learn from his mistakes, but when I'd have to choose between him and Matrix at their current abilities, then I'd choose Materazzi. To be honoust, going back in time, I didn't have much feeling for Matrix, but I learned to see how he fights in the pitch and what a great person he really is with the things he does off-pitch. I seriously hope that Burdisso would turn into great player and he's got the talent, but I'd be more happy on his developement when he would have been here since he was a teenager.
Andreolli, Dellafiore, Momente (and Potenza, Marino so on) - we should stick and use them over the time. I was very very happy when Dellafiore went on loan to Treviso and he proved himself there. Now, when our current defense line starts to old, we should not panically try every possible transfer market possibility, the management should be sent to few Primavera games. There the future lays. Buying "world-class" players from South-America has not worked. It's time to move back to the old times, maybe (or more like "sure") it works. I'm not saying we should transform all our Primavera to first team in just one summer. We should slowly start to get them into first team one by one. 3-4 first teamers who breath black and white air would spice this team up with a couple on bench also. The patience is another thing with Interisti and it may take a year or two for youngsters to develope and adapt with the team, but sacrifices have to be made.
After this has been made, we should look at young 21-22 year olds from other countries. Sure, Milan and Juventus don't have much Primavera players in them, but guess who are the leaders, captains. (I'm not saying that Javier is not passionate towards Inter) But a lot of the big teams (or those who just were the ones) all around Europe have loads of players coming through their own ranks. Andreolli, Potenza, Dellafiore, Momente, Marino - they all have the potential and passion! We should now work on them. If all done right - it may even turn out as a golden generation! To want them before inch perfect from the start is too much. Even Burdisso who is much older and more experienced didn't start of perfect. (Ofcourse, this hasn't got much to do with Roma, but their situation is the same at the moment and I beileve this team of Aquilani, De Rossi and so on have a great future ahead of themselves)
