First off I'd like to say **** you Roberto you filthy Romanista lol

We are without Adriano, Samuel for sure and we are yet to know whether Figo is injured or not. Adriano being the bigger blow out of the 2 because:

A. His record vs. Roma is excellent especially if he's played alongside Recoba who might be fit.

B. We can replace Samuel with either Materazzi or Burdisso, both who I have faith in.

Roma is without Totti, which is the biggest blow possible. That does not mean we should underestimate them especially with our recent performances. Roma will be looking for the full 3 points here just like us.

Cruz Martins (Recoba if fit)
Solari Pizarro Cambiasso Figo
Favalli Materazzi Cordoba Zanetti
Toldo

E VINCEREMO! :fero:

Yeah! Roma is always dangerous and always played good with us. The last example was the first leg that they beat us in san siro while they was in a bad period. It shows many thing! It will be a very tough match and both team have 50-50 chance to win!

Recoba has to play, he has daddy slapped those Romanista b1tches for years, and it took Mexes months to recover from the beating Recoba gave him @ the Olimpico last season.

Damn right, this is Recoba time. Cruz+Recoba should do big damage.

I just hope we get Favalli back cause LB is our main problem right now, and we have to be careful with Roma's Mancini.

Also Cordoba needs to watch Montella closely, this guy always scores against us.

I wonder if Mancio will consider Martello for this one.

Agreed Wome was terrible out there and if Materazzi is going to take Samuel's spot I think we are going to have a lot of problems trying to contain Panucci and Mancini's runs on that side. I would prefer Favalli to play there but if he is still not ready I would much rather go with Burdisso.

I am watching the Rome derby right now and it looks like the combo of Perotta and De Rossi is a formidable dup and are going to challenge Pizarro (assuming he starts) for every ball. He will not have the time on the ball that he did today against Udine.

Roma's defense gets better everytime I watch them and even though the crosses were regining in from either side they looked like an accomplished unit and did not look to concede anything. The key to this game I think will be exposing Doni for the poor goalie that he is. He does not seem secure and seems prone to the odd mistake. On the upside Montella does not seem like his old hungry self

Starting with Recoba may be a little bit of a risk but I still remember that game in Rome where he so frustrated Zebina that he cause the guy to slap him in the face and subsequently get himself sent off.

Forza Inter!!

Mike u know it, i know it.

Thinking Mancini will play Solari at LW, ahead of Cesar, ahead of Stan is at best wishful thinking.

Javier Zanetti,
I also got done watching the Roma match, and I'm not too overly worried. Lazio played a good game, had tons of possession and was moving the ball around well atleast 65% of time. Roma cannot survive against us with this type display today.

Lazio was undone by a Taddei header from a corner and a counter attack where Mancini held the ball nicely for Aquliani.

If Roma give us that same showing we will destroy them. I am pretty sure we have better crossers on our team ( Lazio wasted cross after cross ), and we know how and when to shoot from outside. Not to mention free kick situations.

We would have to play total nonsense to loose to Roma. I am not worried at all. The eleven game win streak will be gone after they meet us...........

But I suggest you better be worry. That's better for sure! Lazio even couldn't shoot on goal.

The Rome derby i must admit wasnt all too impressive, but hey the 2nd one of the season is almost never as good as the first.
For this game our tactic really has to be built to cancel out Mancini from the play, hes the biggest threat now that totti is out.
Definately would like to see a Pizarro start and hopefully Cruz and Recoba like many of you have mentioned.

Agreed. Lazio had just come off a huge win against Fiorentina in florence and we all know how tough it is to get a win down there. Roma played their game and made sure Lazio did not create too much of a threat to their goal. I insist putting pressure on Doni will result in him making a mistake, the guy has been incompetent at times (Ie in the San Siro).

Cufre also looked a little out of it today and several times just bombed the ball up the field for no reason. So we wont have to worry about any overlapping runs behind Mancini.

Although what frightens me the most about Roma is the way their players punch out of the middle and have no trouble drilling the ball in from the outside. Perotta and De Rossi both have killer shots (especially De Rossi) the way they come out of the middle is going to result in the defence having little to no reference points for these guys who are going to charge out of the middle of the park. This means the midfield is going to have to work double time to contain this threat or the Matrix rushing out to make stupid fouls outside the box.

Not to mention the confidence these guy are going to have what with their streak and all. This game is always a tough one on the schedule and these circumstances have made it even worse.........at least no Totti so thats good ......... I guess

This is going to be a great match, i know it, expect atleast 4 goals.
We should keep an eye to Perrotta and Amantino. Montella is doing shit this season but better keep an eye also of him cause maybe he dive and make a penalti like the 2-3 of the first leg....
Who will stop this super-record of Roma 11 games winning all..... yeah, u know it, it's going to be Internazionale.

First of all, Burdisso should start as CD and not Materazzi. Why keep looking at the past? Materazzi is gone this summer, and Burdisso is Serie A-ready by now. And Roma don't have a big CF, or would you enjoy Materazzi playing against Mancini and Taddei?

For this one, I hope Mancini (Amantino) plays as a LF/LW so that JZ can neutralize him. If we hold him, we can limit Roma's supply line.

Cesar (Man..Rodriguez, not to upset some) knows Roma very well and I wouldn't mind seeing him. I am not terribly sure, but I think the last (or second last) time he faced them, he was dancing in joy.

And LOL @ Catanha's comment about Recoba b-slapping Mexes in that game, he is a must. Too bad Zebrina isn't there, it hates Recoba.

Martins should come on for Recoba in last 30 minutes, so he can use his pace to tear Roma's defence apart. Cruz our top scorer must start as well, we just can't do without him:D .

As for our midfield, even if Veron is ready; I would prefer Pizarro, this guy is our future supposedly, and he can do great things along side Cambiasso. Figo and Stankovic should also start, no more Cesar for now, this is an important game and we must win.

Burdisso should start along side Cordoba, Matrix has no future in Inter, and his row with Mancini probably won't do him any good to start this game(rumour). I'm not too sure about the left defender, they have Mancini and Panucci there, both of them are pretty good at attacking. Even if Favalli is there, I doubt he could actually stop Mancini and Panucci for the whole game(Because of Mancini's speed). So may be we will play J.Z on the left in order to stop them.

Last but not least, Toldo should continue to start.:)

The row with Mancini was real, and he should have been suspended for it. I saw some players (Vieri, Recoba) having to set out a game for an argument with the coach, I thought it was a regular procedure.

I wanted JZ to be on the left as well, but then who is going to be our RB? I really think Kily would be a better LB than Wome, but then anyone could.

Roma's left side is not as threatening as their right side. Is Ze Maria still injured? or Andreolli?

Two things will be very interesting before the match, who will partner Cordoba...Burdisso or Materazzi?...honestly, no bias, I think it has to be Burdisso because Roma play one striker- Montella, now hes not really a big fella now is he? you could say Cordoba can take him, perhaps, but a edgy Burdisso type defender is needed to cut down the likes of Taddei and Mancini, if Nonda started, I'd be in favour of Matrix, but at the moment no.

Also, if Figo is out, who will be our flankers?...anyone but Cesar please, i know it wont be solari, wouldnt mind some ze Maria in this.
