I understand the need to secure the no.1 spot. But this is a perfect game to play Radu. We literally have nothing to lose here and it's a great time to give Radu a proper try. Who knows? Maybe he'll be the next Dimarco.

I am still uncomfortable with putting all our bets on Onana. Back then with JC, he's already been tried and tested in Serie A. Onana played in the Dutch league. We might have another Dumfries. With Dumfries we could sub him out or even bench him. With a goalkeeper, we don't have that luxury. Why not give Radu a chance?
JC never played in Europe before inter. He was at Chievo for 6 months but didn’t play.

Onana is proven at Champions League level as well not just the Dutch league.

We get an extra €2.8m if we finish the group top, plus €2.8m for winning v Real Madrid. I'd go full squad, make a statement and make money.

agreed, we have to try. I doubt we'll win as Real will want the money too, but we need to try.

Guys this is for way more than just the money and to be honest not even the opponent ( 1st place or 2nd place ) is that important as it is a matter of luck who you get.
If we manage to beat Real M in bernabeu there is a huge confidence boost that this group will get moving onwards on the later stages. And that is priceless ....

If you instead get beaten then whomever our opponent in the next stage will be , we will start the match with losing mentality.

Can't see how we can beat an on-fire Real at their home, unfortunately...

People said we were equal to them in our first match but we were not, despite the 1-0 result. They were much more dangerous. Every time that Vicinius accelerated our whole right-wing shambled.

It's for sure a tough game no matter anyone's form however both teams are on superb form right now and it's going to be a spectacle.

Am not sure what game you watched but Inter played extremely well v Real at home, Brozovic in particular. They looked more dangerous towards the end for sure but we certainly weren't 2nd best to them that day. La Liga is also a shambles right now, no wonder they look so good (no denying they are in excellent form)

We can win this, with the right attitude and mentality, no doubt.

We had more ball-control but not that much penetration. Ancelotti intention was to sit deep and burst his energy at the end of the match. At the moment they decided to accelerate, we could do nothing to resist and would concede sooner or later.

That Vicinius kid to be particular. He treated Dumfries like a training cone; Skriniar could help out once, twice but not forever obviously. That was like Conte-Barca first match, we could play actively for a while but winning or not is the other team's choice.

I really hope I am wrong though.

xG disagrees
Inter (2.36) 0-1 (0.99) Real Madrid

I don’t bet though...what does that mean?

Bet 1, if Real wins we get 0.99 extra and 2.36 otherwise? So it means they rate Real 2x more than Inter?

xG stands for expected goals. In the first match we created more quality goal scoring chances than Real Madrid.

That's not odds, it's expected goals

Yea we should have kept Darmian on in that game to be fair, 25 mins from Dumfries took the game from us. I jest, you are correct though they did come at us late when we were tired and got the goal (they didn't deserve imo). Bit like a Mayweather fight.

I have no doubt we can win this game however and I can't wait for that sweet champions league music to blast through my house :)
