We want to make sure to have these free agent signings (Taremi, Zielinski) booked now so we don't have to worry as much in the summer. Finances restrict our operation and we need to add players so these kind of deals are understandable. Management is probably looking that Taremi has been important player for Porto, a title-chasing team, he has scored TONS of goals, he has CL experience, has scored there aswell. So certain mental category boxes are checked there.

What he can do in Serie A (much tougher league, specially for forwards) is another matter, but a fairly good guess is he won't be left without chances to score.

Which has always been one of the silliest arguments. It can always get worse. And that shoudn't even be the point. Because that's the way he is. I don't know how he managed to keep his level for a few seasons in order to be a starter for Porto, but beside that he's been a so so player at best. He's not really an Inter level player. I don't know which one between him and Arnautovic is gonna boil our blood more for the next season but it will be a close contest.

Yea, I didn't think he wasn't good enough for us.

I don't think he is as complete as Lautaro, and also not a pressing type; the only thing I would say that have some similarity with Toro is he does drop quite deep to help out for a striker, but he is even way more incline to play between lines than Toro, like how AMF and SS would operate, even during transitions which Toro would help run up and pin back the defense or ready to poach for goal even after the drop back to help transitions, but Kane and Taremi, the moment they drop back way lower chance to see them back in the box poaching, and just purely setting up an opportunity for others.

Also Toro has a way larger covered area and running distances than both of them, not to mention even when they poach for goal, I think Kane and Taremi does not move like a traditional CF/striker, but a hybrid with SS/winger style, but this could be due to the league they played in.

Lastly Toro has better touches

To me Lautaro and Kane are both complete strikers, (Toro more complete imho), and Taremi is less complete but has some of the tenancy, so I can see why he can be a bit like either.

I’m very impressed in his ability to sweet talk a top club to get him as he is a Arnautovic v 2.0, so next season we all sit here and argue which one is worse and contribute the least to the team, can’t wait.
