Forum SupporterThe only reason that Materazzi didn't/won't win any award on personal level (like the golden ball) this year because he's Italian and he's not related to the Spanish League. Atleast nominate him!

I really can not understand what all the fuss is about over what Matrix did with the Messina coach. The coach came out of his technical area which is a rule violation and then proceeded to collect the ball and hold onto it to delay the game. I am sure had he just pointed out to Materazzi that a Messia player was down and that he should wait and find out if he needed medical treatment before playing the ball Materazzi would have stopped.
Instead he took the ball hung onto it and didnt let Materazzi, a player who is supposed to be on the pitch to go back and start playing. Materazzi made a mistake by going into the opposing team's technical area and he payed for it with a yellow. The coach made a couple of errors and was set to the stands. End of story, what a bunch of wusses.
As for the whole headbutt thing, I didnt personally witness it I just noticed big old Zoro on the ground during one of the corners. But if they are going to call that on viedo evidence how about on a corner in the first half when Zoro basically body slammed the Matrix into the ground. I vividly remember that, the two were running Zoro put two hand on around Marco dragged him to the ground then rolled on top of him to make it look like the two of them took a tumble. Looked like more of a wrestling match than football.
I seriously think Zoro is one of the dumbest human beings in the Italian football along with Dida. Those two are absolute retards.
PS: wanted to mention how much of a warrior Marco is too that rush out from the defense after the midfield looked like they were sleeping to wake them up was class. Plus when he took the ball straight into the region took him a few minutes to recover but you always knew something like that was not going to stop him. You would have to break this guy's leg to get him off the pitch and even then I am not sure if he wouldnt fight through the pain till the end of the match.

No wonder. Even a donkey could figure it out. I'm happy he stayed. His commitment is not to be called into question, that's for sure.

Think about it he is one of the most loved and hated guy in football and is having ONE HELL OF a YEAR..
He transferred the love/hate relationship he has with the fans to the big stage and made it an international game..
Now he is scoring more than some attackers (no names) and can maybe equal his record at Perugia but without the penalty kicks and fouls..
What a lion if i see him in Bahrain i will make sure he knows it
