Why the fuck did we spend so much money on this overrated guy when we have more pressing issues such as in the fucking midfield!

He fucked up an easy header but no need to scapegoat him. There are far more experienced Inter players who are getting away with worse.

It's especially because we wasted money on him, Gabilol and Joao Mario that we just had to play a game with Valero in our midfield.

Money spent on him and some others should’ve been invested in a midfielder. Like usual, we got our priorities wrong.

His mentality is all wrong; since he hasn't had much game time, in order prove himself and to live up to all the hype, he comes on the field with this massive chip on his shoulder and when he meets the first bit of resistance on the field he boils over and starts snatching at chances ect.

In other words I don't think he's a new Gabigol as some may be suggesting; his talent/skillset isn't so much the issue.

I'm surprised at the comments in his thread. Yes, he should have scored and he has a lot of things to improve. But there's a reason this keeps happening to all young players at this club and it's not on them.

Look at Cutrone at Milan. Obviously easier for him as he is Italian, but last season he got quite a few games as a started as well as coming on a sub. Lautaro here starts every 5th game and only comes on when we're chasing a goal. Has he ever come on during a game when there wasn't huge pressure for him to make something ie. when we were wining comfortable (lol). All sub appearances I remember of him are in the last 20 minutes when we're chasing a goal. He didn't even come on away against Lazio when we were comfortable and winning.

He definitely has a lot to improve but it's not as if the club is helping him. Keep in mind that he has also shown talent. Now, whether we should have used that money on a midfielder, that's a whole other story.

Well that is his role. Not too rewarding but that's what he has now. Get used to it. And bury those chances!

Lmao this entire thread is why young players fail at Inter. Calm down, he’s the last person to blame. Go direct all this rage at the Asamoah and Spalletti thread.

Not at all. That miss is pathetic when you are a young highly rated striker. You have to bury those chances, at least hit the target, he totally blew it.

Well, yes, but at the same time we need to give him patience otherwise he'll never succeed here but will succeed at the very first club he joins after Inter. He should be finishing some of them, true, but we put him in a really bad spot. It reminds me of when we gave Karamoh all those 10/5 minute cameos, pretty much setting him up to fail.

He has to react better, but the club needs to put him in a better spot too.

Ok, but that happens. There have been much better player who blew much easier chances. Icardi last year against Sassuolo could have scored 5 goals, and if Crotone didn't tie Lazio, the story here would have been how Icardi is a choker and Inter can never get to CL with him, despite him scoring many goals.

So typical. Raging on Martinez who gets like 10 mins to make something happen, but a fuck up like Perisic can keep taking a shit on the field.

To be fair, he's not the tallest guy and to me it looked like the ball was a bit too high for him. if it was Icardi, I think it would have been a goal as Icardi would have been able to direct it better as he would be more in control of the jump due to his height. It looked to me like Martinez just got to the ball, but didn't really have the ability to direct it. He definitely should score, but it's not the worst miss in the world.

Give him the starting assignments in the Europa League. Don't care to waste Icardi in any of these games.
