Lmao this entire thread is why young players fail at Inter. Calm down, he’s the last person to blame. Go direct all this rage at the Asamoah and Spalletti thread.

I did already and he just next on the list, definitely not the last.

Money spent on him and some others should’ve been invested in a midfielder. Like usual, we got our priorities wrong.

We already did, we bought Nainggolan and it is also right decision to have hot prospect as Icardi's backup. However, Inter decide to put injured Nainggolan to keep playing and relapses his injury whenever he plays.

Short guy wastes headers continuously and you people are surprised.

Are you aware that he is literally the second shortest guy in our squad, the shortest being Politano?

2 of his goals have been good headers.

It isn't about he is short or tall, that was just one chance he missed. It's about his attitude and his decision making during the game even when he starts from 1st minutes. Bad passes, horrible shots and stupid fouls...
He is not ready for this level of football yet.

He jumped too late.

Something I don't understand though is why all the anger is directed at this guy?

Exactly what's wrong with us and playing youngsters.

1. Buy young player with (a lot of) potential.
2. Let him train with first team
3. Sub him in for only 5-10 mins and basically less than a handful of starts in games.
4. Young player is failing to impress in said minutes
5. Young player doesn't get any minutes and isn't given any time to improve
6. Young player is kindly said to fuck off and develop elsewhere
7. See step 1

I'm sick and tired of hearing these excuses of "he's not ready for European/Italian football". How can one ever be if after one game he's back on the bench regardless?

Naive, inexperienced, and not calm enough in dangerous situations. But also fearless, aggressive and obviously full to the brim with talent. Every time he plays he goes blow for blow with these defenders, and gives back as much as much as he gets. He just looks like such a nuisance to play against.

I mean, just look at his dribbling run. Goes past a couple, gets into the box, tries a roulette and needs 3 men around him to get the ball off him. Yeah nothing came of it, but if the ball happens to bounce a different way then Icardi could have been through.

I don't know man, this kid is exciting.

Yup, he definitely has a lot to work on, but he brings something to the table too. He's a lot more aggressive than Icardi and I thought that was really good to have. He also has a decent long-range shot which we didn't see much today. He's very rash in his tackling, so he needs a bit of balance in his aggressiveness. I thought his substitution changes the game though.

Listen guys I just got 23 1st graders to sing here comes Santa Claus in front of 400 people, so I now a bit about developing the youth.

Let's try something different with Lautaro; let him play HIS game. His flair and creativity are obvious and so are his weaknesses. With confidence and maturity he may learn when and where to uses his skills. I heard constant bullshit with Kovacic and coutinho (my own admittedly) about how they need to learn how to play in serie A, but where's the value in that? What does it even mean? Pass backwards and sideways until my dick goes soft, and wait till you have a clear play through the area...oh yeah and generally be 28 years old, boring yet fundamentally adequate. No thanks. Let him develop a chemistry with Icardi until they can honestly say they explored all opportunities to make him succeed.

What he needs isn't to be let him playing his way but he needs a proper guidance how to utilise his skills and attributes in a better way to contribute better for the team.

That's what Coutinho had in Klopp but not at Inter. One good mentor.

Every time i see him play is like watching Boca vs River all over again , raw neighborhood style of play.

1 year in Serie A will make wonders for him...

I find it hard to see why spalletti subs him in to play behind icardi as SS and why some fans here are calling for him to be paired with icardi. He definitely does not have the xteristics to play as SS for him to be paired with icardi, I think he is just another top 9 like icardi, more of a goal scoring striker rather than a striker that is technical and good with the ball to set up his teamates (ala benzema, dybala, firmino etc). My point is proved by the fact that he has been tried so many times as a supporting striker and he has always failed.

Kinda like the guy, but when he can't even pass properly (hits it way too hard) and make me look like a decent football-player (which I'm not), I get worried. Horrible cameo from him.

I think his skill set is there just a little raw. I love his tenacity but his decision making for when to tackle is awful! Can't pick up stupid yellows.

It does look like he's playing the Avellaneda derby when he comes in, that's true.
The mental jump from South American football to European leagues is as real as the tactical/technical one (putting aside its fascinating mystique, Boca-River was under the spotlight and paradigmatic in that sense).

Yesterday he provided a bit more confusion and more “acting” than requested from the bench, but we needed bodies and players able to combine close to/inside the penalty box to put pressure on Udinese. So, Lautaro did his job.

Half-serious side note: he should hit the gym and/or a Doctor Fuentes-worthy lab.
Aguero did the same in Madrid and the way his physique changed in a couple of years was truly impressive. There could be side effects regarding the playing style and more, but there's no other choice in modern football. Enter the quadriceps.
[I'm not comparing a predestined phenom like El Kun with Martinez, but that side of the analogy is fitting.]

Did this kids already married? If not yet Icardi must set up him with Zaira nara. This kid like hot potato like someone who didnt jerking off for a month.

Garra aside, El Toro looks slower and more drained than he was in preseason.
It's physiological in his first Serie A season.
