Why would anyone expect Lautaro to do out of many 10-15 min cameos? We see what he can do when given proper minutes but Spallo is wasting him away. He deserve leeway and develop in European football. Loaning him out isn’t a punishment. It’s for his own good (and Inter’s). We badly need better attacking players immediately or we can say good bye to our season. This is not L.Ronaldo or Messi where they make immediate impact even as teenagers.

Unready players like Lautaro can be tolerated when you’re stacked with top and experienced players up front. We can barely create chances against weaker teams. Players who don’t know what to do are the last thing we need at this moment.

Too easy to say from a replay. The attacking player sees the ball coming to his feet and a good scoring chance, he'll try to take it. Of course laying it to Icardi would have been the best choice, but you need a presence of mind that requires either an innate knack for it or too much experience. He did well for the limited time he was on.

Lautaro wasnt asked to be loaned by the things he couldnt do.
But by the things he decided to do horribly wrong...

His decision making is too green to play for Inter, he should learn that first by being loaned out. Karamoh is more ready.

If what you're saying is true.. some people must be mad for considering him to play AM or SS behind Icardi. lol.

It wasn't a good scoring chance. He was rushing to get that shot. It was a very poor shot taken.

Everyone in the team should know what Icardi does the best.. getting the space behind defender.

Let me rephrase.

Too easy to say from a camera angle. Spotting Icardi there with the ball at that pace, so close to the edge of the box, would require someone with a passing ability of Modric/Laudrup/Guti/Xavi etc. And that's not something you'd expect from a forward. Icardi wouldn't have passed, Perisic wouldn't have passed, Keita wouldn't have passed, Brozovic wouldn't have passed, even Joao Mario wouldn't have passed. Only Valero out of our team would be able to spot Icardi there but even he would perhaps struggle to see the open space to lay it to him. The players don't have a PS game or TV view where they can see everything. It takes 1-2 seconds to realize that and sometimes that's not enough time to pull something off with defenders coming towards you. You can't seriously blame Lautaro for not giving the ball to Icardi. You can say that he could have done better with the 1-2 half-chances he got, that's about it.
