This is great news. If Cruz knows his role with Inter, and perfectly accepts it, then I see no reason why we shouldn't renew with him for a while. We will be lucky to have a player like him happy with a sub-par role.
Cruz eager for new Inter deal Monday 19 September, 2005

Julio Cruz is reportedly looking for a new contract at Inter following his sensational start to the season.
The Argentine is only tied to the Nerazzurri until next June, but wants to remain after netting four goals in three games so far this term.
"Cruz wants to stay at Inter because he is happy with life at the club," his agent Jorge Czysterpiller stated.
"However, he now deserves a great contract to go along with the fact that he is a great player."
The former River Plate ace arrived at the San Siro in August 2003 from Bologna, following Chelsea’s late swoop for Hernan Crespo.
"I can’t hide the fact that a number of clubs have already asked me for information on Cruz," continued Czysterpiller.
"But we have yet to speak with anyone because Inter is our primary option. We are hopeful that it can all be sorted out as soon as possible."
The 30-year-old started his career at Banfield in 1993 before moving to the European game with Feyenoord in 1997.
He remained for four years in Holland, subsequently proving to be a massive hit during four seasons at Bologna.
Cruz spent most of last term on the bench but has seen more action following the departure of Christian Vieri.
