Allegedly played a good game as well. I still hope he lives up to the expectations at Inter.

Always plays good for the NT...

He needs to be played as a wide midfielder, but I dont think he fits the system we play. He is a good player but obviously not being utilised right by us.

Indeed he doesn't fit in the Spallo system at all unfortunately...not a bad player though

No. Hell no. He is a pretty shit player in overall. His shooting for example sucks anywhere, that doesnt mean Spalletti's system makes his shooting worse or something.

Then he is not a disciplined player and the guy is pretty lazy too. He doesnt play better with Portugal though, have seen them few times in the qualifiers and he looked too weak and lost way too many balls. He is slow as hell and he makes wrong decisions with the ball a lot of times.

Nobody wants a lazy and slow player unless you are Zlatan :D

I am against Portuguese league players. The league isn’t good, the teams want insane amount of money for them and all the ones we pick flop massively. Porto to me is Udinese if they were the richest team in the league. Fine they might have 1 top player that can make it in better teams(Falcao,Alexis Sanchez) but the team and league seriously mask huge/glaring player weaknesses and their players usually flop super hard once they leave the teams.

It boggles my mind how a footballer can't shoot, especially one that plays in the attacking half. :chan:
Iniesta springs to mind... Insigne is another. Joao lacks power in his shots which is imperative for a player playing in midfield. Used to play as a CB early in his career FYI. He's a center mid, his skill lies in passing, linking up plays and providing support. Wouldn't call him lazy, maybe indifferent... But not lazy.

Would've preferred to keep Banega over him but I suspect he has more room for growth.

He needs to be played as a wide midfielder
Lacks pace and shooting... unless you mean an 'inside' winger like Koke. For me he's best suited to a 3 man midfield in a sort of Hamsik role, not too attacking or defensive, but central, constantly involved in all our plays.

He doesn't lack power in his shots.. he lacks everything needed to make a shot. no accuracy, bad timing. basically he is clueless what shooting is.

It is is clear the guy is clueless. I don't blame Mario. I blame Ausilio. He should be ashamed and fired for signing Mario without seeing how he plays against real teams. Samp scouts aren't paid as much and they are doing a lot better.

Why poor Ausilio? :palm:
Mario and GabiG came because of Kia not Aid.

Compared to Gabigol Joao Mario was brilliant signing. The thing is that Gabigol was one of the worst signing ever made.

We spent over 100 million euro on 1 position 2 summers ago. That in itself was retarded.

Gabi goal made no sense. Most of us bad 0 idea who he was. Why didn’t we just get a first dibs on his transfer like a lot of big teams do.

Regardless for Candrevas spot we also bought 2 other guys. Made no sense whatsoever.

Why isn't this happening with Sabatini?

I would suggest that our owners are not completely retarded so they dont let them selfes get fooled twice by some super agent. I mean it s obvious even for people with very little knowledge of football that kia fucked us with these two transfers.
I doubt that sabatini could stop Zhang from splashing his money if he really wanted to.

I'm starting to conclude that Sabatini has made two crucial mistakes in the transfers market: signing Dalbert (20m) which meant more of Nagatomo, and using Banega to generate that poor 7m excuse for FFP instead of Joao Mario. Banega would've been much more useful as a playmaker (one that can actually shoot and score) and we'd also have that free-kick taker that we badly miss. Banega and Brozovic would've been much better and quality options for that position.

Unlike Banega, selling Mario might have opened up an extra signing (like a defender) because of his higher market price. All I can say is fuck Kia and whoever listened to him. Like Gabriel Badosa wasn't enough scam.

I think you got the banega part wrong, it would have been harder for us to sell mario at a profit since he had a higher value on our books due to the high price we paid.
Bamega on the otver hand was a free transfer so anything we got for him was pretty much profit which is what counts for ffp.

I guess I still have no clue on how ffp works. :yao: let's just say that I'd prefer Banega for technical reasons.
