It was. And it (Kolarov to be more specific) helped them win us. We clearly did dominant that match.

I am just stating statistical facts.
What exactly did you dominate on? You are stating your own opinion which is clearly not backed up by facts.

Both teams had an equal number of chances to score.

Dont complain about Kolarov playing if he was specifically signed by Inter to cover for the CB position. And considering Skriniar was on the outs with Conte during that time I doubt he would have started over D'Ambrosio.

Plus, you cant keep saying you have the best depth in Serie A and then simultaneously moan about missing players. I mean, Inter fans keep saying we have shit depth, and yet we have managed to stay on top regardless of the ridiculous injury crisis. I mean, we had to start a 20 yr old RB who has never played a professional game at CB. In key games too.

And also the thing about penalties., arguably one of the most stupid arguments in football. How many of the penalties we got were unjustified? Its only natural to get more penalties the more chances you have in the box. We have also had stonewall penalties not given, not to mention ridiculous penalty decisions against us.

Can you honestly say Inter would have coped without Lukaku as well as Milan have done without Ibra? Brozovic - Bennacer? De Vrij - Kjaer? Lautaro - Rebic?

Heck, we had almost 7 first teamers out against Juve and had to play Calabria in the midfield. Folks forget how ridiculous the injury crisis is at Milan, especially for a team with a supposedly shit depth.

Milan won the game against Inter fair and square. And if tomorrow Inter wins against Milan, they would have also deserved to win it.

When Inter realised there was a huge distance with Tottenham about Skriniar, Conte immediately reinstated him in the starting lineup in the matches against Benevento and Lazio. Skriniar would have certainly started in the derby. As for Kolarov, yes. Unfortunately, we signed him in the summer as a cover for Bastoni. Like you signed Tonali and Diaz as cover for Bennacer and Hakan. I guess you shouldn't complain about their absentees either.

Man, Milan deserved to win. We didn't do shit, it was the first game in years that they were the better team.

Onto the next one, will be awesome game to see, even if it is in the coppa.

If Inter aren’t allowed to moan about penalties, Milan guys aren’t allowed to moan about injury either. It is more stupid. You are getting used to double standards in your favor too much that you fail to realize where is the neutral.

At the mean time you keep putting words to my mouth. Where did I say Inter has the deepest squad? 1000 times I say Juve does. Buying Kolarov was stupid, I also said that. But that was to response to the moan about Covid while ignoring that Milan did get benefit from Covid too when it visited the other teams. Saying about double standards, again.

I feel as if you didn’t watch that match. Neither can you read the stats you pulled in. Fair and square my ass. Inter dominated that match and has more chances to score. Milan is more clinical, I will give you credit to that, but take your delusional glass off to see who did play better.

If you want to use stats (pen unjustified or such), its your job to back it up.

I am not

But there have been games even when the covering players were out injured/suspended

Take for example, having to start Calabria in the midfield.

What I am arguing about is the fallacy of saying Inter has the best depth in Serie A and then in turn complaining about a couple of players missing. You can't have it both ways.

As I said, we had to fast track a kid who has never played top level football into a position that he has never played in. We had to play our best RB in the DM position because all our other midfield options were injured/suspended. We had to play without our best forward for the majority of the season. And have still somehow coped.

Just be glad Inter hasn't been put in that horrid situation so far.

I don't know anyone who says Inter has the best squad depth in Serie A but anyway. We have a deep squad in most positions but our squad depth in others is poor (side cb, vice Brozovic, vice Lukaku). But even if you have the deepest squad in the world, you will still feel the absensce of your starters in big games. There's a reason they're your starters and not squad players.

Kudos to you for doing so well but your situation isn't horrid. It's a similar situation with many teams in Europe. Many teams in the world had to deal with their players being out due to injuries and covid. It looks horrid for you because your squad depth isn't good enough like i have told you many times. Even your team management confirms my argument. You have already signed 3 players in January and you're also trying to sign a fourth. That's almost half of the outfield positions.

No offense, but it was a horrid situation. And a shit squad depth plays a part in that.

How many times is it that 4 out of your 5 midfield options are ruled out through injury/suspensions at the same time?. 3 out of your 5 CB options are ruled out through injury at the same time?

I never denied our squad depth was poor. What I said was that its impressive being in the position on the table we are despite missing 4-5 first team players almost every game. Literally no other team has faced that situation this season bar us and Liverpool. I think the only time we had a full starting eleven available was in the game against Napoli.

As for Inter having squad depth, majority of the analysts agree that Inter have the deepest squad in Serie A. Now the quality of the depth can be questionable. But you guys are definitely much less susceptible to key players missing than we are (ergo aforementioned squad depth). Heck, in this forum itself there were talks about how Milan would crumble just by Ibra getting injured, but we didnt.

But you are right, Maldini has clearly identified that we cannot continue to just get by by maintaining the status quo hence why we are signing reinforcements.

I was about to say Roma pulling off an Inter here, tons of clear chances missed and then the defending..

But then they scored.

When we were playing the same time as our rival, we kinda fucked up, at CL at least...

Last time it happened domestically, we beat Napoli and Genoa drew with Milan.

I guess a similar outcome tonight wouldn't be terrible, but it would be even better if Super Atalanta could show up again. It's been really nice of them to draw these last two games and, for now, keep a little bit of top-4 pressure away from us.
