Gattuso set his team up horribly yesterday.
He could have followed our game plan point for point against Juve and got the win, but instead decided to sit with a super deep line and only start pressuring Juve once they got into Napoli's final third. Bakayoko-Zielinski-Demme/Lobotka is still a damn good midfield and should have been able to dominate against Bentancur-Arthur-McKennie. Maybe Pirlo would have learned since Sunday, but the amount of space they afforded Brozovic against us could easily have been afforded to Zielinski if he'd dropped a bit deeper while in possession and allowed him to pull the strings.
Of course, Napoli's wingbacks are trash and they don't really have a Hakimi that can command the kind of attention that allowed Barella and Brozovic to have the freedom that they had, but it's not like Lozano is someone you can just leave alone this season. I don't know, the whole Napoli approach seemed like a disaster to me. Saying that, if Insigne had just buried that penalty I would have put good money on Napoli winning it on penalties.
Anyway, let's hope it goes better for Napoli in their next two games against Juve, because if we take advantage of those games like we should we'll be out of Juve's sight with any luck.
