Apparently Roma have been sold again. What a disaster of a club.

Yeah, looks like the deal is finally done. Dan Friedkin is seriously rich, his net worth is like $4 billion. So maybe this could mean more investment in Roma, maybe they won't be such a selling club anymore. I guess thats good for Serie A overall.

Reports: Pallotta signs Roma over to Friedkin
By Football Italia staff

According to multiple reports, James Pallotta has now signed the preliminary agreement to sell AS Roma to Dan Friedkin.

The decision had been in the air after a sudden surge forward in negotiations, and the Kuwaiti group pulling out of the running.

Now John Solano of ASRomaPress – who has been very well-informed from both sides of the negotiations throughout the process – and financial newspaper Milano e Finanza both confirm the signature on the paperwork was completed late Wednesday night.

Milano e Finanza claim the Friedkin Group have now opened a Newco based in London to complete the takeover process.

That is expected to take a few weeks yet due to the sheer size of the operation, but August 31 is seen as the hopeful closing date.

It’d give the new owners time to refill the club coffers and begin using their clout on the summer transfer market before next season kicks off.

Friedkin has been in advanced negotiations for many months and a deal had been close to completion before the COVID-19 crisis hit financial markets all over the world.

This prompted the Friedkin Group to re-evaluate the original €700m offer on the table, which Pallotta then rejected.

Talks resumed recently and are widely believed to be on the verge of completion for around €500-600m, including money for recapitalisation.

I don’t even blame Palotta to be honest. Did everything he could to build that stadium and make Roma a more modern club. All rome did was fight him every step of the way.

Pirlo is the new coach of Juve.

This could be our season. Give Conte the 3 players he needs. Lets fuck'em!

This is suicidal IMO. Literally the equivalent of sacking Conte and hiring Cambiasso.

He hasn't even managed a game man

After Pirlo's appointment the first thing Milanisti discussing is...Scudetto next season :yao:

If ELliot are clever, they would spend all their money and go all inn in the transfer window.

It?s now or never..

I Can honestly see us fighting for the scudetto.

I hope our management is seriously considering the scudetto next season

One of my all time favorite players is now the coach of enemy following not expectedly, Sarri's firing. 2020 sure has been a weird year and we have 4 months to go.

Pirlo was an intelligent player, but coaching is entirely a different thing.

We should not underestimate them, management just needs to keep working and mind only Inter business. We will win trophies next year.

People turning coaching into rocket science... What qualifications did Pep or Zidane have as coaches? It's not like they're bringing in some rando off the street. He's a smart footballer, and has been in the business for over 3 decades.

The hardest part of Pirlo's job will be handling the locker room/man management. That's actually a very underrated part of coaching.

I wanna see Pirlo loose it/flip/get angry... He's too calm.

Their qualifications were that they actually had coached before. Unlike Pirlo.

Man management is key aspect yeah and Pirlo has that for sure as he has the respect of the senators. But how will the team play and what will they do when facing difficulties? Zero experience in coaching won't help in these cases.
