Eintracht Frankfurt Coach Adi Hütter and midfielder Makoto Hasebe “firmly believe” they can eliminate Inter from the Europa League.
The first leg ended 0-0 in Germany and the Europa League Round of 16 decider is at San Siro on Thursday.
“We expect to face a top team in a decidedly special stadium, where there will be many of our fans as well as theirs,” Hütter told the club website.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be on the touchline due to a ban, but I am certain it’ll be a special evening. We need a super performance and a goal.”
Midfielder Hasebe is also fired up for the second leg, as Marcelo Brozovic missing a penalty could yet prove decisive.
“There will be many fans following us to San Siro to cheer us on, so I expect a great atmosphere. We are up against a top team and I can’t wait to get on to the pitch.
“I firmly believe we can qualify.”
Eintracht are unbeaten in 13 Europa League games and the 0-0 first leg result means Inter must win to go through, otherwise they’d be eliminated on away goals.
A repeat goalless draw would mean extra time and possibly penalties.
