We are 2nd, juve is 3rd... does that mean we are better than juve? Come on, such comparisons are useless, we all know Torino is a much better team than Chievo, they also have much better individual players and also they are able to defeat any team of the league.

I didn't say which one is better. They're pretty close. Also quality and individuals doesn't matter. What matters is that Chievo can grind results as the table says. They're the only team to take two points from Napoli in addition to Inter as someone has mentioned here. No reason to underestimate them whatsoever.

Lets not forget how our defence was inconsistent last season with almost the same guys in the back line Miranda-Murillo-D'Ambrosio-Nagatomo. Now we look more solid and tough to break thanks to Spalletti and of course the arrival of Skriniar.

Skriniar-Ranocchia is worse than Murillo-Miranda.

I would use Ranocchia to check how he would perform next to Skriniar

Sorry I just don't understand this idea of experimenting Ranocchia as if he's some unknown defender that we've never seen. We know who's Ranocchia and we know he's shit. We should avoid playing him as much as possible. It doesn't matter who's playing next to him. You never know when he's going to commit something stupid and cost us 2-3 points.

He's already played next to Samuel and Zanetti. Skriniar won't magically turn him into a good defender after all these years. The only reason he's here is because we haven't replaced Murillo and Andreolli.

Unfortunately, I think Spalletti will still start him.

Also inb4 its too late and we all blame Rano - we have conceded some stupid goals this season with Miranda and Skriniar. If our defense was at the Skriniar level, we should have had only 4/5 goals conceded.

So if we win and still chievo manages to score, its not ranos fault, you guys cant be that blind.

We keep blaming rano just because he played in a time for us when everything was shit. From coaches to everything. He is not terrible, but also he is not a good solid player. Average guy. Had a good spell for Hull City.

Its not the end of the world if he starts a game or two. You guys need to relax seriously. For the things he stands for, he will do his job. Good at defending set pieces, an "ok threat" for attacking corners, thats about it. You cant blame him if we dont score, or we draw, etc... he should be the least to blame tbh.

If we are being honest, our defense could have done a better job these games, but the reality is we dont rely on our defense. We play attacking football, we try to control thr whole game, our possesion has always been higher than the opposition. It is ranocchia, not paleta
Sure he is no Miranda by all means, but come on, its not a tragedy like you guys are making it to be. Its not that by a given we will concede 4 goals, and 3 of which are gonna be ranos own goals.

Switching D'Ambrosio to CB would mean a major change to the team as a whole (would mean 4 changes), I think Spalletti can help Ranocchia do well, it's just one game, how bad can he be?

i guess so... if even in such a case spalletti would rather move d'ambrosio do DM position than deploying ranocchia... but i don't think such a thing will happen, ranocchia will be in the starting lineup

The 1st time Handa did a wonder and saved us in the 2nd we conceded a goal....

there is a big difference in mistakes skriniar makes and rano and how often it happens... number of people here is saying judging by now we have seen enough of his mistakes so nothing good can come from him... on the other side since you comparing skriniars mistake, he will only learn from that compared to rano
