Yes if Atletico is like Roma's first half in steroid. The difference is that they can maintain for 90'.

High pressing all over the place. While we have zero player with dribbling ability, so we must lob the ball randomly to Lautaro and thats it.

Inzaghi ball is quick passing to exploit space and their style seems to be the kryptonite.
Bro, you painted very bleak picture. We have Barella good with the ball, Miki driving the ball like crazy. Thuram and Lautaro are good dribblers, Hakan with great positioning and good shot. Our wingbacks are dangerous with Dimarco and Dumfries. If you missed it, we can press all day long, switch on and off.

While we have zero player with dribbling ability, so we must lob the ball randomly to Lautaro and thats it.:)

I describe our first half versus Roma, not Inter in general. Ofc I am not claiming this Inter is that bad lol.

The Phenomenon
For me, Inter & Atletico have the same character relying most on counters and team spirit, fighting till the end. I predict a low scoring game with 10+ yellow card over 2 legs, need extra time and penalties to separate us.

They are actually quite incapable for playing a good tight defense like they used too, but definitely way less vulnerable compared to their transition phrase.
If they really do, I am quite sure we can score. Also assuming they will just give up possession is a dangerous assumption for prep game.

Don't think I share the sentiment, they seemed to be good at pressing last game, simply because the opponent of theirs played a back 4 and didn't exploit their left flank, plus the area Toro drops back normally is also a unprotected spot by A.Madrid. Roma was not impressive as the score line, it was mainly weather to me.
They are very different from la Real.

Again I think we deservedly to be the favorites, but the precision of our passes will be very crucial.

I was wondering where that Udine cunt/Mesi dick licker was.

Such a "Barcaelona vibe" player. 🤢

Someone more knowledge on Atletico than me please correct me, but this is quite atypical for Simeone this year isn't it?
Realistically I think with Morata being out (although apparently he was called up) this was pretty much what he was always going to play. The only more offense change he would have made was Depay for Llorente, who if you remember started his career as a DM at Real Madrid.

Basically he is coming to sit deep and hit on the break, which shouldn’t surprise anyone. If we can get the first goal this will be a lot easier. However, Griezmann is still capable of doing something world class out of nowhere.

Reinildo only recently returned to the lineup after a long-term injury, the usual set-up involves 3CBs with Hermoso/Witsel/[Savic/Gimenez/Reinildo] and usually either Lino or Riquelme playing LWB and Llorente at RWB. If Lino and Riquelme both are being sat (at least to begin) tomorrow, I consider this a positive for us, but it also basically means we must get a clean sheet in this game and not allow Griezmann to beat us because, shit, this is terrorist football Simeone's going for tomorrow. He's trying for the 0-0 going back to Madrid.

Simone and Simeone being great friends and former teammates is a plot line I haven’t seen mentioned much in the anticipation to this tie. As well as simeone being a former inter player and knowing the club atmosphere and culture. I’m not really sure who it benefits more, but I’m leaning Inzaghi because his style is somewhat new and unknown while Cholito’s style is a more known entity, albeit showing more flexibly to change tactics than in years past.

I don’t think their press will be a big deal. The only time we’ve been thoroughly pressed successfully was against Sociedad away when we rotated the entire team with Asllani playing regista. I’m more worried about us wasting chances and Atletico creating a fortress. If they catch us sleeping once or twice or create a magical moment, it could kill us in the end.

This match is going to be tough, because Atletico is physical maybe not as much as in the past, still at times "nasty". No lazy horizontal passes in the midfield, Barella needs to remain calm, hopefully be clinical on the few opportunities Inter will get. Forza Inter.
Previously, I posted that this match was on the CBS Sports Network, now its on CBS and UniMas in the US according to Livesoccertv.com.

That's a wrong logic to begin with, but I guess each one to his own.

In what way is De Paul a Barcelonaesque player? What is a Barcelona vibe? He seems perfect for Atletico, dirty player that will also fish for fouls
