I agree on the Frattesi comparison but the Mkhi replacement doesn’t necessarily have to be a carbon copy of him. Someone like Carboni, if it pans out, could be someone who links midfield to attack in the way that Mkhitaryan does but from a different starting position. We also have to see what happens with Zielinski and Asllani.

Having another goalscoring mid would be just fine with me.

Yeah he's a goal scoring mid, very offensive minded one.

The price is apparently 12m for the buyback, in 2025, that's what Guarro just said.

We can make all kinds of projections now but the fact is, 2025 summer is faaaaar away and I'd say it's almost impossible to plan anything that far.

That's why we extended Mkhitaryan until he's 38.

Jokes aside, that's presumably the role Zielinksi will fill but even though the all-time WOAT movie "Goal" proved "ball beats man", I think a ball carrier is extremely valuable in modern football. As great as Zielinski is, he's a more of a passer and technical dribbler as opposed to Mkhitaryan whose priceless value to this team comes from his ball-carrying or ball-running so to speak.

This is more like a soft or early version of Milinkovic-Savic.

But anyway, he's not coming over this season from what it seems and assuming the Chinese don't force us to shoot ourselves in the foot to finance their egoistical Oaktree loan and we keep our core:


Barella/Frattesi -- Hakan/Zielinski -- Mkhitaryan/Fabbian


Assuming Mkhitaryan keeps this up. Zielinski and Frattesi sharing that LCM spot as well (or Barella shifting right if Frattesi is preferred there) is also an option.
Fabbian can also play in the CM role but probably not as deep as the other guys.

You owe SMS an apology. Fabbian doesn’t have half the technical quality, let alone the size. The combination of the two is what made him special.

Fabbian has a great nose for goals. Especially when the ball is loose in the box. However his all round game is not special.

Thomas has given a title that is up to false interpretations. Gazzetta article in Italian doesn't claim Inter are going to exercise their buyback clause early.
