It's hilarious to me that one of the greatest DFs of the 90s can't get our back 4 to defend competently. I guess it's an Inter thing.

We lack aggression, collective play, intelligent off the ball movement i.e. moving into space, triangles

Liverpool-Triangles.jpg

There's also too much fear apparent in our play, the full backs don't push-up to support our attacks, everyone is afraid we will lose possession and expose ourselves on the counter. But we're significantly outnumbered in the final third so we end up losing the ball anyway :palm:

This fear a clear case of self-fulfilling-prophecy-itis.

It's going to be tough out there for De Boer tonight. But for me he deserves at least until end of 2016 to try out his ideas and get the best out of this team. But he needs to be more hands on. This Inter needs a manager constantly on the touch line aggressively shouting out instructions ala Simeone or Conte. A lot of these players don't belong on this team (Ranocchia, Ambrosio, Candreva, Medel) they constantly switch off, forget their roles or instructions because they lack composure, big game mentality or the requisite skill.

Torino are one of the form sides in serie a. All the best to this guy.

I have no idea how you expect us to play that kind of football with Murillo and Medel at the back. With a new CB and Banega-Brozovic/Gnoukouri-Mario that would be much more possible.

I'm sure we'll be a little better with Brozovic, Jaio Mario and Banega in midfield.

Now were hating on Medel and Murillo for defending il grande De Joke?

Tell me please someone how Napolis defends work with fucking Koulibaly, one of the overratesd defenders in the world. They work as squad and we cant do this with this guy on the bench.

How the fuck you can say De Boer has great tactics if he only was mangaer in Holland? So, if we keep for example the Santos coach of Brazil, Inter will work the same? That doesent makes sense. Our league compared to the Erdivise is completly diffrent!

Bergomi: ‘Inter, fight for the shirt’
By Football Italia staff

Inter legend Beppe Bergomi wants to see the players “fight for the shirt” against Torino tonight.

It appears Coach Frank de Boer is on the verge of being sacked, and even a win against the Granata might not save him.

“If there are no improvements in competitive edge then there’s no point keeping a Coach,” Bergomi told Tuttomercatoweb.

“If we see the team fight for the shirt and the result then yes, things have changed. It’s up to the club to decide, because right now it’s not easy to find a caretaker for a few months.

“These are difficult decisions.”

Bergomi was then asked for his opinion on De Boer’s reign, which has brought six defeats in just 12 games.

“Italian football is different, it’s very tactical. The Coaches are always very well-prepared. You need to adapt to football wherever you go.

“With De Boer we’ve seen some good performances and some less good ones. Then you take into account what happened with Mauro Icardi, who hasn’t scored for three games. Against Juve he really was the captain of the team.

“I don’t want to make excuses for De Boer, but these are situations which have hindered Inter.

“In today’s match against Torino they must show us something different, the lads need to play with desire and love for the shirt.

“Not least because this team has quality.”

Very fair of you to compare De Boer to Sarri, someone who was custom with the Italian league in general. Also Napoli's midfield tracks back way more and don't underestimate the effects of players like Allan, Jorginho and Hamsik. Also their fullbacks aren't as shitty as ours.

So now managers who've only managed a single league, have no idea of tactics?

Just remain patient and be happy you get to see your star Éder play a lot.

Forza Frank!

With the second most expensive squad in the league he should be much higher then he is. The only game where he has performed was vs gobbi. Some of his selections and subs have been baffling. The end is nigh for FDB and he fully deserves. At Inter more is expected, no excuses.

That's a pretty hard stance to stake considering that a lot of that expense is just on players so useless that Frank can't even put them on the field and expect results, like Kondogbia and Jovetic. Player value =/= production =. And we have a lot more useless players than just those two..

And not just that, this team was badly built and isn't suited to play any single formation or style, except on paper or in FIFA.

Wise words. Just because our team has a high market value on paper/FIFA doesn't mean it really reflects its actual quality on the pitch. Spending over 30m euros on Kondogbia doesn't mean that he has a 30m more worth of quality than Cambiasso who was a free transfer and had a much lower market value at that time.

It's also very badly and terribly built with zero squad depth and no identity whatsoever.
