Thohir: 'Inter support De Boer'
By Football Italia staff

Inter President Erick Thohir said “Suning and the management support the team and the Coach, as united we can survive.”

The Nerazzurri host Torino this evening and Frank de Boer’s job is by all accounts on the line.

“We want to reach our objectives,” Thohir told Inter Channel.

“I, Suning and the management are all concentrated on our objectives. We want to reach our objectives both on the sporting and commercial level.

“We support the team and the Coach. If we remain solid and united, as we already have done, then we can survive.

“Football is made of highs and lows, and Serie A is the highest level. But if we remain solid, we can improve.

“It is important that the players and Coach stick together and understand what it means to wear the Inter shirt.

“It is important to get results. Tonight we must get points, preferably three of them.”

Alessandro Altobelli defending De Boer and stating that he has inherited Mancini's team few days before the season and needs alot of time to experiment and ask for new players that suit him.

Hope the torino game bought him some time. What i liked the most is that for the first time we gave away very little to our opponents. Torino had the goal which was an individual fuck up by murillo and ansaldi and maybe one other half chance which is a hugw improovement over all our other games where we allowed our opponents atleast 3/4 good scoring chances.

Good match, even though I feel like he should've used his other subs. Too bad we didn't have many options in the midfield.

He deserves to sta, this should have been a 4-1 if it hadn't been for the finishing. Happy for him, hope he keeps it up. With an Italian in Bergomi coming on board I feel optimistic.

I can't blame him today. The players committed individual blunders everywhere. There's nothing that he can do about it. I feel sorry for him. He did his part very well and I liked our gameplay today.

Very fair of you to compare De Boer to Sarri, someone who was custom with the Italian league in general. Also Napoli's midfield tracks back way more and don't underestimate the effects of players like Allan, Jorginho and Hamsik. Also their fullbacks aren't as shitty as ours.

So now managers who've only managed a single league, have no idea of tactics?

Just remain patient and be happy you get to see your star Éder play a lot.

Forza Frank!

Im not comparing him, im only saying we should not keep him. I dont know about the midfield, i dont think that Joao Banega and Medel arent that bad. Also our fullbacks. Ansaldi is good, on the other side we have still Miangue or the mediocre Santon. Hard to say but i dont feel that Napolis fullbacks are that much better. Specialy because of Ansaldi..

It depends where a Manager was. Erdivise and Serie A are too diffrent.

Very funny :eek:kay::yuno:

What? Napoli's defence has been terrible this year.

Still not like ours

Frank de Boer admits he feels “a little more stable” on the Inter bench after a 2-1 victory over Torino.

The Coach was hanging by a thread after three consecutive Serie A defeats, but Mauro Icardi’s brace secured the win at San Siro.

“It’s normal that after three straight defeats, you need to win,” De Boer told Mediaset Premium.

“I am very proud of my players and want to see this attitude all the time. We only allowed Torino two or three chances and those were from our mistakes.

“The support of the club is very important, but it all begins from the attitude of the team. We must not just play like this tonight, but always, including against Sampdoria and Southampton.

“I have a lot of faith in the squad and the fans also supported us tonight, so I am very happy.”

De Boer was asked if his situation was more stable now.

“A little. We must still keep winning, but for me it is also important how you win. Today I saw a team that I really like and it was a step forward, but against Sampdoria I don’t want a step back.”

Icardi ended his goal drought with a brace and won over at least some of the supporters following a row over his autobiography.

“He is a fantastic player who always set the example for the team. We know there is this thing about the book, but in training and during matches he always gave 100 per cent.”

Can we bring in a 55 year old Matthaus? He'd be better than all of our midfielders.

When I read the first half of your post, I thought you were lobbying for Matthaus to replace De Boer, I almost had a heart attack. I'd be ok with him in the midfield, though.

today its the first time (after Juve match) where i dont can say that De Boer has made some mistakes.

We defended very well. Some times there was a risk but stil it was not like against Roma or Bologna where we soffred a lot against counter attaks. Of course Torino was not in form today but we also loosed with a shitty Cagliari. (specialy in the first half..).

Brozovic and Eder fucked up. Also Candreva with two big chances to score.. :palm:

I feel like the players are more motivated when Zhang comes to Milano. Its like they dont know what Inter is and dont want to respect Inter. Mancini said that the President should be with the Squad, not Indonesia or Cina. Well, there is surely a reason why he says that.

If De Boer changes hes mentality, then its ok. But things like Cagliari or Roma should not happen again. Samp will be the real test!

Last time you posted the same thing it was the game before this one, so in 3 days almost nothing will change, if the management decides to give him more time those results you mention should become quite more positive, that's what we all Inter fans expect
