Pogba was a talented kid, not a world class signing. Coman was just a kid as well.

Evra was washed up and Llorente was in decline.

Apart from Pirlo, nothing is similar between Godin's potential move to Inter and any other "typical Marotta" deals. A typical Marotta deal would be to go for someone under the radar. Godin rejected offers from Man Utd and Juventus just 4 months ago. Even Pirlo had no suitors back then and he joined Juventus when they were in a bit of a mess.

And yes, Godin is fucking world class. A top 3-5 center back over the course of the last 5 years.

you would like to see his butt i see

You wouldn’t like it I don’t bleach my butthole

No but seriously 3 year contract for a player his age even if he is awesome next season. It’s going to bite us in the ass at the end

It is possible. But I am more worry about N9 contract. He is far from awesome in his first year. imagine him with his habits in the next 3 year, when we give him a 4,5m check to splash it in casinos and discos.

The CB's use to have a longer career and with Skrniar and De Vrij we could manage his playing time so I could assume, it could be valuable even in his last year of contract. Hopefully we don't make a Valero with him.

He is a better defender then what we have but CB to me at least is the position id spend the least amount on other then striker. Our starters have 7 top years left at least.

Back CBs aren’t the best but Godin with his wages and being better then the other two only thing that makes sense is selling a starter for big money for FFP. Which I am against tho not super huge on De Vrij the amount he can net us would be awesome. Losing Skrniar would be heart breaking. Hope we retire his retardedly high jersey number and he retires here.

I understand your concern. When Godin's rumour popped up, my first thought was, that we will sell Skrniar for the fucking plusvalenza and buy another young CB (Andersen or Mancini). With Godin we could have an excellent defense until the kid will adapt to the new challenge. I could understand that, it could work.
But I don't want it. As you say, I hope Skrniar retires here.

But I believe don Beppe already work for the fucking plusvalenza. All this rumours: de Paul for 18m plus Emmers/Adorante or Barella for 40m plus another kid, could easily bring us the capital gain in the same manner we made for N9 or Politano last summer.
And anyway with CL and Coppa Italia there are enough games to keep all 3 CB happy and fresh. 3 excelllent CB is not a Luxus but a prerequisite for an world class defense.

Fantastic signing. 5.5m a year is not much for a proven defender like him
Its 4.5.Six if he reach all bonuses.

Great deal,we need some leader in locker room like him.

Guess it proves he's a right fit!

On a serious note, this is something that our Management surely knows about (everyone knows that he has his problems!) and thats also a reason why everyone should feel safe about Skriniar. Godin is only for rotation and with his current physique this is as much as he can offer to any club.

Apparently after watching yesterday's game he handed in a trasfer request demanding that we sell him back to Atletico.

25 millions and Atletico can have him again.

Nope. Godin is no Vidic.

Other than the fact that Godin is a superior player to Vidic whose best trait was his 'heart' and 'passion' (I know PL and MUFC fanboys will have a fit here once again), we're not signing someone with a 3 year history of bad injuries, but someone with 11 years in a row as a starter in the best league in the world (another PL fanboy fit situation) - whereas Vidic was a top name for like 3-4 seasons - being a catalyst for creating the best defensive side in Europe in the past 5-6 seasons (closet Juve fanboys having a fit now).

So other than age, position and number of letters in the surname, there's nothing in common between the two transfers.

Lol Vidic at his prime was one of tbe best CBs in history of football.

Anyway, whaymt godin has over Vidic is professionalism. Godin is far more disciplined outside the pitch. Hense has more good years in him. This Year Godin picked it up after the poor last year. For free and under 5 mils, well worth it. Im afraid we will lose one of Skriniar oe De Vrij tho...
