I think that Suning didn't want Deki. It's too strange that as soon as Suning bought Inter, Deki is gone!

He has been linked with a role in the Serbian FA for quite some time.

BREAKING: Former Inter player and staff member, Dejan Stankovic may be possibly named as the new UEFA Vice-President. If this move goes through, he will be the right hand of the new UEFA President, Aleksander Ceferin.

Ceferin replaces the banned Platini who was found guilty of ethics violations in December.

Good Luck Deki! The right man for such a job!

Former Juventus player gets caught for cheating, and replaced by a former Inter player? A Euro version of Calciopoli?

Man those fucking zebras have spread their cheating poison all over Europe. Just shut down that filthy poisonous club for good.

Stankovic speaks on his new role for UEFA

Dejan Stankovic spoke to Serbian Newspaper, Blic on his new appointment as adviser for UEFA President Alexander Ceferin:

“My work week is divided between Milan and Geneva or Nyon.

I have not yet begun, so I cannot go into details, but we will definitely travel to various European countries and many events.

I am ready, but by the end of January I will give you more information.”

On the new World Cup Format:

“I think that the last Euro Cup have demonstrated that the enlarged formula does not lessen turnout in stadiums.

On the contrary, each stage was full, so I am in favor of a World Cup to 48 teams.

Many countries will encouraged to continue to invest in football, I think that this formula will bring many benefits. “

:proud: Good to have club legends in the UEFA

Pretty much confirmation that the expansion is for more $$$.

Good for Deki, but this is quite an important & high up role, is he even qualified for such a position ? I'm gobsmacked that this is a position that has been handed to him.

Here's a new 40 minute long interview with Deki in serbian language, thought it might interest at least some of you because there are plenty of eastern european people on the forum. He talks in great detail about his career and what it was like to play in Serie A.

22:00 oh look, Handanovic didn't jump 8 years ago either. Don't buy him, he must suck

On a more serious note here, had a huge man crush on Deki. Such a great player, underappreciated by fans and the global stage. A player that Real Madrid tried to sign 3 times from us and also attempted to sign from Lazio. A player who rejected Juventus to join us when he was free to move anywhere in the summer - we got him on a discount in January because Lazio wanted to cash in on him - and not only that, he scored in his first derby against them in front of me (lol, I was actually on the other side of the stadium). Actually he scored vs Milan as well, direct corner, in his first derby with them as well.

I wonder if there's another Serbian top class midfielder that plays for Lazio and could easily join a more established Juventus team or the best team in the world and may very well decide, like Deki, to come to Inter... Hmm, is there such a player now out there now? :)

Yea I love Deki too. I believe players like him, Cambiasso, Zanetti, really epitomized Inter. Not the most talented, but always play with his heart on his sleeve, as if every game is his last. My most memorable Deki moments was his celebration in the 2008 Scudetto in Parma. Such raw emotion!

Stanković said he likes the Milan side more than Inter and Higuain more than Icardi.

Dejan Savicevic, the ex Milanista, not Stankovic.
