Sorry for my ignorance ... but have Real paid us in totality for Ronaldo .. or is it still pending??? If they do owe us something ... I think we should go ahead with the Samuel/Solari deal around 22/25 million for both of them wudn't hurt us

We had $10M left to receive, and I am not sure if they paid it or not yet.

After we were linked with Samuel, I gave up on both. Rio was kind of attainable with the stall in the negotiating. But if we can't get Samuel, we surely can't get Rio.

I am just worried it's dragging a bit for Samuel. I don't want to base my judgement on the rumor talk, but if we don't want to pay Real $16M for El Muro, then I don't know what we are doing?

Yeah right.

if we don't want to pay Real $16M for El Muro? we can't get any great defender.

I don't know what our board is doing but I think that they are on the way to screw it up as usual. The always do when it comes to defender cause they don't wanna use much money. It is simply stupid. When a club offer 16 mill for a player of Samuels calibre then you should gladly give it to them. he is much more worth then that. And if our board don't wanna pay that but would glady play +20 mil for a forward we don't need then they are dumber then I thought.

I think that Inter not wanting to pay $16m for Samuel is pure bs. There's no way, that's cheap for a world class defender like him.

I'm pretty sure that the negotiations are getting longer for other reasons, prolly personal agreements or something, I have faith we'll get him, and that will be a dream come true for me.

Feel free to correct me, but hasn't the negotiations stalled because of the personal terms? I think we have agreed a deal with Real Madrid already. The problem is Samuel's high wage and Solari's greediness.

it was only a rumour that we had agreed with Real Madrid. I'm not sure if thats the case. But if it is then you are probertly right.

Since we have been negotiating with the players' agents, an agreement with the club is a must.

You are allowed to talk with the player first, but not offer him a contract... Just to see what he wants from you or if he says he will stay put.
P.S: Don't tell me about the A.Cole-Chelsea situation coz there was a contract offered and almost accepted there ;)

I've heard rumors about us not agreeing with Real and also us not agreeing on personal term with Solari. I have no clue which is causing the stall, all I hope is that it is overcome (and soon)

Hmm, I keep reading that the problem is with Real. Also, many teams agree personal terms with players but not with the team, happens many many times (Kuranyi with Schalke as latest example.)

is this new or old? if we sell him, Samuel won't be problem. just that we lose another italian.

It's new and thanks for posting it, good news to start the day.

I'm sure he still thinks that he is worthy of being an everday-defender for Inter, and thanks to Lippi for putting the idea that he is a world-class defender in his brain.

He also probably prefer to play regularly to go to the next WC, which means that he will probably leave.

But what a liar!!! Read his quotes. Who was it then that said I want to go to Bologna, maybe his alter-ego???

“We have received an offer from Fiorentina and if the clubs think it a good idea then I would certainly evaluate the situation. The Viola are a very important side in Italian football and I’d be willing to look at this opportunity, although I have never pushed Inter to release me.”

Transfer guru Ernesto Bronzetti has revealed that Milan once offered Andriy Shevchenko to Real Madrid, while Walter Samuel is on the verge of joining Inter.

“I was on the boat on the coast of Ibiza with Real President Florentino Perez and Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani when Shevchenko was offered to us,” revealed the consultant. “The striker was coming off a difficult period of his career, but Perez preferred to sign Ronaldo instead.”

As Ronaldo left Inter in 2002 and Shevchenko had scored just 14 Serie A goals that season, it is easy to track back to the time of this sensational offer.

Real and Chelsea have repeatedly made £30m bids for the Ukrainian in recent years and all have been rejected out of hand by Galliani. There were even reports that Ronaldo was interested in a return to Serie A football.

“It’s all talk! Ronaldo and David Beckham are the only players they will never sell because they are talented and precious commodities on a media level.”

Bronzetti continues to work for Madrid and gave the ‘Corriere dello Sport’ newspaper some insight into the rumoured double move for Walter Samuel and Santiago Solari.

“The deal to bring Samuel and Solari to Inter should be completed on Monday or Tuesday. We are waiting for the Confederations Cup to end, as Samuel is a consummate professional and wants to concentrate on Argentina’s campaign.”

I can't waiting Monday or Tuesday.

I usually don't trust channel 4 1 bit but I hope they are right this time 1/100000000000000000000000000 times they get it right so I hope this is that 1 time. But if they say the deal's can only be completed after the confederations cup how can it be done monday or thuesday if the final and 3 place playoff takes place on wednesday??

I really wanna believe this is true.

Pravesh's so bad as I was thinking that the deal wud happen very soon if Argentina wud get kicked out tomorrow by Mexico so that Samuel wud sign us rite away.

Lets wait for few more days; and yeah SAMUEL & ADRIANO dun get involved in any fights if they meet in the final. What a goal by Adriano

For the 1,000,000 time, he said "I'd like to go to Bologna on loan to prove that I'm worth of Inter".

Right, and all of a sudden he received a new contract even though he had three years left on his existing one. I wonder why. :D

Read between the lines, Frisko. ;)
