I watched two great games tonight... ManU vs Celtic and Lyon vs Real.

Lyon were great today, I didn't espected that good performance by them. Real were shit, even with Capello incharge now. The one thing I can't believe is how Cannavaro played... This was one of his worst games ever... He was shit all the game... And the result doesn't say anything, Lyon should've won 4-0 maybe more...

As for ManU, this was the best game in the first round. Both teams were great, Celtig gave all they got. But ManU is ManU, they were better IMO. Saha was amazing. The only bad thing about all game was the penalty, I don't believe that was a penalty... But...

Bayern trashed Spartak last night with a convincing performance. The first half was nothing special, but the second was phenomenal!!The goals came from Pizarro,Santa Cruz,Schweini and Salihamidzic.v bommel had a great game with two assists.the Prinz also was ever present and dangerous.

With this pathetic Inter,we will have no problem topping the group:cool:

One bad game by Inter doesn't say anything, and one good by Bayern also... We'll see who will be first in the group... Inter IMO. And in my heart...;)

Just finished watching Real Merda getting thrashed by Lyon again. Seeing them lose cheers me up everytime. Casillas best keeper in the world, my hairy ass. :ass:

Too bad BBilan didn't oblige against mighty AEK. Didn't look like many fans at the Meazza outside of the Curva Sud. Once again proves that Inter is the real team of Milano. ;)

haha, nice one ... whatever gives you wet dreams, my man :)
you know, a claim like this one would be far more believable if the so called "proof" was given by that "real team of Milano" on the field ;)

I personally think that there are 2 real teams in Milano ... and football wouldnt be the same if it were otherwise, right? ...

So pissed and so Disappointed, Inter played terrible. Inter was not playing its Level like they should do. This what happens when you Underestimate Smaller Clubs like Sporting. The new team still needs to Gel together considering the new Signings we have Signed, Also just a note Inter Milan need to get Rid of Adriano. The guy will never Recover his form. :(

well, the management proved yet again that they knowwhat they are doing unlike a good portion of the fans, who were a bit too quick to judge our transfer campaign as negative only because we didn't spend tons of money on whatever star name became available on the market **hint hint**
If Gourcuff continues like that soon he would be a household name just like Kaka is today ... and the mighty-wanna-b Real will be knocking on his door too.

I am really surprised by Steaua's win in Kiev, I remember the Romanian's good performance in UEFA Cup last year but never expected they would destroy a solid team like Dynamo in Kiev ... still, it would be an awfully big ask for them to beat Real M to second place.
This group is already decided I think - what's left is to see who's first and whos second but Real's dismal display tonight is encouraging to say the least - Lyon were all over them and the result could have been 5-6 to zip but Real got away with it.

It's a bit too early to judge if your management was right or wrong. You have started very well but I believe we should only judge come December. Then we will know if the transfer campaigns were right or wrong.

In general, I would agree with you. Everyone who watched the game however couldn't possibly miss the more than positive signs from players like Simic and especially Brocchi, Oliveira and Gourcuff ... these guys made us Milan fans forget that Milan was playing a CL game without Sheva, Nesta, Seedorf, and Pirlo ... and the last two were more than available for the game.

The best thing about it was that Ancelotti felt confident enough to leave out the "spine" of Milan for the last 2-3 years and that didn't influence the way Milan played ... actually, we even looked less predictable than before. This is something the coach hasn't done for some time as he would usually play Pirlo, Seedorf and Nesta no matter how tired they are or in how bad a shape they find themsleves.

What's importnat is that the players showed not just class and talent but desire to play, fight and win. Of course there were errors made but these things are to be expected at the beginning of the season. The performance was far from flawless but the desire to prove themselves on the field was there in abundance.

But I think that Lyon will go to Semifinals. They have a nice team, all are organized and I trust at Fred ;). He will be a magnific player when he goes to a big team of Europe.

Great beginning, a lot goals good attacking football. The only team that really disappointed was...Inter.

Although it was only one game it didn't gave great hopes for improvement, how can the team not want to fight for the win? Don't they want to win the Champions League? We can recover and get through the group stage but with the attitude that we had in this game we won't get very far.

Good win by Lyon, I said that they were (in my opinion) one of the favourites to the title and they dominated Real Madrid the whole game and I'm really hoping for a luckier Lyon this year (as long as they don't play Inter).

I'm eager for the next games, I'm hoping for a Champions League filled with great games, goals and surprises.

Inter lost, but I think we don't need to worry. It's still 5 games remaining. Just want to give example when couple of seasons ago we started Champions League with 3-0 away win over Arsenal. But at the end Inter failed to progress to the next round.

Now Inter have to win next home game againts Bayern Munchen and two games against Spartak. After we will see :interscarf:

It could've been like that, but 2nd half was something different, especially when Beckham and Raul got substituted..Really, they looked like time is past them already..Anyway, Real still has time to sort things out as the talent they posses is huge..forza steaua though..:D

I guess, you asked me, lybe so I'll answer to you..As for our group, I think AEK will win the match against Anderlecht mainly cause of home ground and Milan, well I expect us to win, but a draw wouldn't be bad, too..

I'm going to watch the match on QSIV with PPStream, so if anybody's interested here's the link: http:///www.myp2p.eu/Matches/Match3.htm

Predicted lineup is:
Dida
Cafu-Nesta-Kaladze-Jankulovski
Gattuso-Pirlo-Seedorf;)
Kaka
Inzaghi-Gilardino

Looks like Ancelotti will play with all the best lineup in this game, unlike the game against Livorno, Favalli is crap, isn't it? LOL
By the way i think Milan is in the worst group in the last years and they will get the 18 points for sure, maybe 16, they are with AEK maybe the more weakest CL team along with levksi, Lillie who is not even in the top5 of teams in France, and Anderlecht who is usually garbage in CL in the last years...

In the same link Wittman said we can see CSKA-HSV in nearly 2 hours, great match to see and is in all the channels on the internet ;)

Yeah, we definitely have an easy group, but won't underestimate anybody..Our goal is to advance further from 1st position in the group and I can't see anything different happening in the end..

Favalli? I don't care, he wasn't expected to do anything special, just to fill the holes if anybody gets injured on the left side..At the moment, he's the one who's injured and as Serginho is out too, Jankulovski remains the only possible player for that position..
Btw. Serginho could be out for longer period and rumours say we're tracing young Brazilian Marcelo..I would be delighted if we manage to sign him in January..:boogy:

What a bad luck.

Tony Silva and Tafforeau are injuried. Lille are a very strong team, but the two players VERY important.

Players to watch: Rafael, Plestan, Chalme and Odemwingie.

Solid defence, realy solid. But Lille aren't in shape now, and they just lost 1-4 from Lyonnais.

2-0 for Milan.

Group E:
I think that Lyon will have difficulties against a well organised Steaua, I'm hoping for a good game, I'm thinking a draw but if there would be a winner it would be Lyon. In Madrid, I think that Real has all the favouritism and I'm expecting them to win.

Group F:
Benfica vs Man Utd. will be different from last year, both teams come from a draw against a weaker team and they will try to turn the table around, and off course for Man Utd. this will be the opportunity to avenge last season's defeat, I think that Man. Utd. is a bit favourite (But I'm HOPING for a win from Benfica).
On the other game I think that Celtic will have the edge over Copenhagen and conquer their first (3) points in this year Champions League.

Group G:
CSKA and Hamburg are two very different teams, although I think that Hamburg is a better team I'm worried about they poor form, I think that CSKA Moscow are the favorites for this one. Arsenal and F.C. Porto will play, I believe, one of the best games of the week both teams are motivated and hungry for wins, unpredictable!

Group H:
AEK can win against Anderlecht, as wittman put it the home side can really make a difference in this one let's wait and see what happens. Milan won't have an easy trip to Lille but I think that they will get out with the 3 points even if it's just to keep the media off their backs.

Good Luck to all teams, especially S.L. Benfica and F.C. Porto!!!

I think Benfica will have a great day.

Man Utd, too many overrated players, specially Ronney.

Nuno Assis, I'm expecting alot from him. With Simao and Miccoli, Benfica can score first. But still, Saha was in form against Celtic, should be watched.

1-0 for Benfica.
