This guy, everytime he starts I shake my head. Today overall did ok, but his free kicks, which were his forte, seem to have disappeared.

I thought he was shit. He’s too much of a liability. I dont mind him playing as Lb/WB on the odd occasions but deffo not as a CB ever. Even his crossing was absolutely trash tonight, 0 end product (apart from accidentally getting Ibra sent off).

As ive said before we signed him, good LB, decent LWB, and shittiest LCB. He was good once we went 4 men defense. Was OK in his attacking play as LCB, but his free kicks and hiw defensive play - my God.

He is error prone as age has slowed him, which makes him an easy scapegoat. I thought he did well today. His end product was lacking, but we know he can pass and shoot. He could prove useful as back up.

I just cannot understand why would Conte rested Bastoni for Benevento while letting the least competent CB against Milan. I thought Conte has already learnt to not use Kolarov in big game especially considering his incompetence against Milan few months ago. Now he had another mishap letting Ibra to shoot for the goal. Fortunately we got away with this, but Kolarov should not ever touch the field for the next Milan derby.

His freekicks were surprisingly bad.

He was good in a 442. I know the bar is really low when it comes to service, but I think I'd rather kolarov spam crosses than perisic and young. Pure scumbag though, still.

Good gamesmanship by moving his left foot into Ibra's to get him sent off - that's it for the positives.

Exactly, fans make it look like just because he ran into space that he was good. The goal yet again is from him plus non of his corners or fk’s were decent and that’s his strength. Getting fouls on ibra and rebic was smart though but that’s about it

I dont see any diffrence between him, young or perisic, they all slow, cant pass their defender and suck at defending, but i think at least kolarov have the better crosses, the other two just train the opp gk with slow and very high crosses..

My bet is Bastoni was so exhausted of the matches played before that Conte wanted to get him some rest. He's still a young kid so doesn't have the experience to control his energy consumption optimally in tight schedules. Hard weeks continue with our schedule being Benevento-Juventus-Fiorentina-Juventus-Lazio-(week break)-Milan.

Whichever genius thought a LB, who was always known for his attacking prowess and for being a defensive liability, is a suitable candidate to be converted to a LCB? Maybe we could make some use of him as a 20-30 min sub-in for Young/Perisic.

And Kolarov can score from outside the box. We haven't seen that yet at Inter, but then neither had we seen Eriksen score a free kick for Inter before yesterday. Kolarov has a really good shot, something that Young and even Perisic lack.

He probably doesn't have the legs for it anymore, but I would rather see Kolarov at LWB... even if its for the last 30 minutes.
