:palm: why don't we actually do this for our important players instead of this dipshit

I agree but if he did have some sort of minor injury than it makes sense. It's just funny that he was the one player who we refused to let play instead of others like Brozovic

Lukaku had a minor injury too. Lautaro also got injured during the warmup for Atalanta and wasn't 100%. Sanchez only just returned from injury. Vidal is 33 and has played every game of the campaign so far. Skriniar only just recovered from 25 days of COVID. And yet, of all players, the one we were most protective of is Kolarov, the biggest piece of shit in the squad

I get that there's a political element involved as well. Kolarov is an old cunt, not as important to his national team, so its easier to recall or block someone like him going on NT duty compared to Lautaro or Lukaku. Still though, we should've applied the same strictness to the others.

Kolarov is getting the shit end of the stick all day long today in Serbian media. They are using him as a scapegoat for failing to qualify for the Euros. Apparently he refused to be subbed in at the very end of the extra time, right before the penalties were to be taken.

There's a lot of comments everywhere, so much that I could even see it as potentially straining the relationship he has with Inter/Conte.

I think he should have been subbed in to be honest and he should have went in, it was only penalties but he got caught up with the interference that happened with Inter.

Inters MGT got involved with shit they shouldnt have with Chile as well. If a player is released for International Duty you have no right to tell the NT anything or attempt to block him from playing.

Tadic to Kolarov: 'Captain, you betrayed us'

Serbia forward Dusan Tadic reportedly called Inter defender Aleksandar Kolarov after the defeat on penalties to Scotland. ‘Captain, you betrayed us’.

Sportski Zurnal reveals the Ajax forward contacted the Inter defender after Serbia were eliminated on penalties against Scotland in the play-off for Euro 2020 next summer.

The match ended 1-1 after 120 minutes and Aleksandar Kolarov never set foot on the pitch due to the injury that has kept him out since before Inter’s match against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Now his absence will be prolonged by COVID-19, but the former Roma defender was asked to enter in the 119th minute of the decisive match against Scotland.

The report claims he refused to enter, as coach Tumbakovic wanted to exploit his skills in the penalty shootout, which they eventually lost.

Sportski Zurnal reports Tadic then called the Nerazzurri defender on the phone after the defeat, saying: “Captain, you betrayed us.”

This guy was mad he didn't get used except for penalty so he didn't want to play. Who are blaming Inter?

According to reports in Serbia, Inter banned Aleksandar Kolarov from playing in the crucial Euro 2020 play-off defeat to Scotland.
The game ended 1-1 and was eventually decided on penalties in Belgrade, with Scotland qualifying for the tournament next summer.
Now MozzartSport.com claim that Kolarov did not feature because Inter and their medical staff refused to let Serbia play him.
Kolarov had a slight injury that kept him out of the most recent Serie A draw with Atalanta, so Inter would not give the all-clear so soon afterwards, as they were afraid of a relapse.
The report states that Kolarov did not want to enter into a collision course with his club, so after several days of tests in training as part of their starting XI, the call came just three hours before kick-off.
The Nerazzurri then recalled the 35-year-old to Milan for treatment, so he won’t take part in the next game against Hungary either.

Imagine getting pissed at inter because you couldn't beat Scotland without your 35 y/o captain who is exclusively a dead-ball specialist at this point.
