You have never been a part of a sports team (even as a junior) ? Leaders are the ones who say the right things at the right moments. If there are pressure, internal or external, leaders are the one who encourages the group, calm the environment. They maintain the unity of the group. It takes a certain type of charisma and character to be a leader in a group. Clearly Kolarov (and Handanovic) are ones.

One doesn't have to always lead by example (on the pitch). Presence of a certain type of character and words are powerful tools too in leading.

Not sure, but since Suning being unable to pay the players and judging by the recent unmotivated performances I think Kolarov stopped doing what he was hired to do so.

The Nerazzurri defender underwent surgery to remove a herniated lumbar disc this morning


MILAN – This morning, Aleksandar Kolarov underwent surgery to remove a herniated lumbar disc at the Istituto Humanitas in Rozzano.

The procedure, which was carried out by Professor Maurizio Fornari, went perfectly to plan. The Nerazzurri defender will begin the rehabilitation process in the next few days.
