We don't have balls for this type of deal.
I have been watching him since he used to play for the club named 'Piroozi' (now 'Persepolis') in Iran, as well as in the Iranian national team. So, don't try to tell me he is worth 30 million euros.Taremi is way better than people think. I could describe how strong his all around game is, but I’ll let stats speak for him.
During his time at Porto, Taremi has crazy 88 goal contributions in 84 starts. He was the top scorer of Portuguese league last season and by some margin the best striker in the league. More goals, assists, man of the match performances and higher average rating than second best Gonçalo Ramos.
Last season he scored 5 and assisted 2 in 7 CL games. He was twice MotM and his average rating was 7.5. Mbappe and Haaland were the all stars strikers at avg rating of 7.6.
Stats are just stats. But what makes them even more impressive is that he is not just one to finish moves. On the contrary, he is the focal point of Porto attacks. He is good passer and holds up the ball well. He wins duels and plays for the team. Apparently he is also a very decent and professional person these days and if this is the case, player with his strengths and characteristics can easily play on top until like 35.
This is the last time I post about him. Feel free to rather go with the knee-jerk reaction against signing some 31 year dude from Iran.
you really suggest Inter board to waste 30 M for a 31 years old footballer and never plays in serie a?Our main goal is to be competitive right now. Player in the mould of Taremi is the missing piece of that puzzle. Deal with it. Even if Balogun was good, he would not bring the needed extra dimension to our attack.
I fully sympathise with people who get more excited about young prospects than 31 year old Taremi. But we cannot afford to me too romantic, we have to be rational.
Oh, forgot to add that his fitness and health is superb. During his three years with Porto, he’s missed exactly ONE game and that was because of Corona virus!
As mentioned in another thread: even if we signed Taremi, we would have had replaced 37 and 30 year old strikers with 31 and 26 year old ones. Age structure would still be very healthy.
He might be, but he is too old and too old for not having any top league experience, doesn’t matter how good he theoretically is. The financial state of Inter should fundamentally mean paying 20ish million for players in this age group should not even be considered, let alone one who never played top level football in a top league.Taremi is way better than people think. But it's not only because of this, the most important thing about him is that most Iranians hate him because he is among the minority who support the Iranian regime, which has killed over 500 people since last year. I don't want to see this bastard wearing my club's kit because I believe values such as human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and respect for human rights are more important than football or anything in the world.
who the hell is this guy?
He's the real deal. Super talented striker who has got it all imo. Great shot, bravery, crazy in the head in a good way - like if he sees a way to shoot at the goal, he'll do it. I saw him shoot a kick-off against the fucking bar. It would've been a puskas goal for sure. He's good with his head for not a tall guy. Free kicks, link up play, speed, ... But for 20m we should be able to get him.who the hell is this guy?
someone willing to watch 10min youtube compilation and insist that he is a sure thing and great deal?
Orban actually is phenomenal. The past half year he scored for fun, really beautiful goals too. I thought he would be more expensive. Don’t see it happening tho.
I don't disagree at all with what you're saying. But I also believe keeping football about football and to not mix it with politics etc.I have been watching him since he used to play for the club named 'Piroozi' (now 'Persepolis') in Iran, as well as in the Iranian national team. Now let's waste some more time with our dicks in our hands till this guy is out of our reach too. This is your guy Inter. Get him!
My only concern is that the step might be too big, but then again, he's crazy confident. From the clips Orban looks much more dynamic, explosive, exciting, aggressive and special than Balogun.
