tho hope the Lukaku situation didn't destroy the relationship between clubs. Pretty sure they get it if a player said they loved the club and it felt like home but were at the same time talking to Man U/City they would fking cut all ties with that guy as well

Based on that, it sounds like they are looking for a player they believe can get to Lautaro's numbers or at least around the 15 goal mark rather than someone like Dzeko last season who played as a target man to help the team move up the pitch but didn't neccessarily score many goals.
I do wonder if they're looking at that spell from last season where we couldn't score a goal and stress importance on someone whose biggest quality is scoring the goals. Last season, outside of Lautaro (21 goals in Serie A), Lukaku got 10, Dzeko 9, and Correa 3. Those 3 guys together only contributed one goal more than Lautaro alone.

I am kidding obviously. I dont want him anywhere near here. Will be fun to see how fans react to him when we play Juve. Or if he really loved us he would score an own goal while playing against us.

Most Diverse PosterIt's weird that nobody went for Orban, somebody on the forum already mentioned him more than a month ago. He seems like a player Chelsea would buy and that would leave on loan and later go to City or Liverpool.

Ausilio also said the striker will come before the seria a starts, so in a relatively short period of time we will probably find out who they picked.

Taremi wasted most of his career in our league. He definitely had the talent to play for a European club earlier, but instead decided to stay in our league and perform the role of a hero for the club he was playing. Actually in Iran, there is a huge rivalry between Persepolis and Esteghlal, two clubs that have the most fans throughout the country.
He signed for Persepolis in one of the worst eras of the club, when they hadn't won the league title for almost a decade and were heavily criticized by their fanbase and mocked by the rival fans. In 2016, when everything seemed to be working well for Persepolis and Taremi was shining for them, they unexpectedly lost the league title by goal difference to a new promoted team. I actually remember he had some offers during that season but instead decided to stay in the club to gift the title to their fanbase for the next season.
He was already 26 years old when he signed for Rio Ave (his first European club). He is not definitely worth €30 million now, but I think he has had some nice stats during his short career in the european football.

Where did you read that? I read his interview here: https://www.fcinternews.it/in-primo...iu-avanti-lukaku-juve-non-mi-interessa-932526, and there is no "I think" just we will add another striker before season starts.

Yep, they totally missed that on the site I read it, but still imo it will be done by then. Ausilio is always super cautious when talking about these things, so his "I think" is pretty much confirmation it will happen by then.
