Which is also why I sincerely doubt he’s up there in terms of priorities for us. We unlock defences just fine, we’re just unbelievably wasteful.

I know you don't disagree, and this ends up being a matter of "priorities", but I'd immediately say that there's no such thing as having too many players who can unlock a defense.

Forum SupporterWe really should just keep Arnautovic as a fifth option given all these extra matches we'll be stuck playing.
We don’t need no poacher, also you are not getting one no matter how many times you repeat it. For the money we might be able to spend Zirkzee is as good as we can stretch it.
What we need is some who we can rotate so we don’t play Martinez dead again and get Thuram injured because we overplayed him. Unless Thuram or Martinez is sold we are not looking for a starter but a third and fourth violin.

How many games have we entered this season without all 4 forwards fit and available? I feel like it was a dangerously high number.
I'm not even talking about winning trophies here, we are about to play more matches in a season than ever with this squad, one injured forward means running others into the ground.

The logic is simply if you don’t have cash to spend without selling first your incredibly bound on hand and feat of what you can do… Attackers happen to be the single most expensive purchase and heavy on the payroll

With our forward situation, I wouldn’t take a punt on someone who you’re not sure would be even fit to start the season.
