Brozovic has one season more to the end of his contract. Nobody will pay 50mln for him, not even 40m.

Which is another reason why we should not sell him. Extend the fucking contract already.

I don't understand this. After 10 years of millions spent on transfers, we finally have just about 3 decent midfielders fit to play for us who are working well together. And people already talking about selling one of them? Man Utd can shove their Telles up where the sun don't shine for all I care.

Lets not touch this midfield. Brozo, Eriksen & Barella should be off the market. If we have to sell someone to raise funds, I would sell even Lautaro before I touch this midfield.

"Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum has reportedly agreed, in principle, a deal to join Serie A side Inter at the end of the season.

According to Claudio Raimondi of SportMediaset, as transcribed by FCInter, Wijnaldum has a “handshake” with Inter and they decided that he will join them on a free transfer in the summer."

I thought that it was only a rumor.

We offering him 7 million? Haha isn’t that our free agent rate? I mean he is at least younger than the other frees we’ve gotten. Hope he works out if he does come tho

Obviously. Also Young and Kolarov. I only mentioned Vidal because i can't imagine having Barella, Eriksen, Wijnaldum and Vidal fighting for two positions. I am afraid you would have issues in the dressing room. Vidal doesn't stike me as a player who would accept he's past it and he can only be a sub. Out of curiosity, what's your issue with Gini?

I don't see anything special from Gini. I think he looks good because the way Liverpool plays more than his capacity as a player and I also think he will struggle in Italy.

Wijnaldum is never a 7m-salary player. We better stay away. Hope all these rumors are false.

Calciomercato actually reported his demand is 10m€ net per season  + signing bonus.

I can't see Inter paying even half of that.

Thank god im not the only one thinking this. I was thinking how Inter can add someone to our bench that expensive but then again I've seen Eriksen benched for 1 year.

Nor is he worth half of that. €10m per year for Wijnaldum? Fuck off, mate. Laughable demand if true.

Even €7m is ridiculous. Especially for a soon to be 31 year old midfielder.

4m net TOPS. He is good player and would be valuable asset, but he is not THAT good. 4m net, 3 years contract and add some bonuses to that (like 1m in bonuses), and we have a deal.

 Liverpool success has really got to his head. He's delusional if he seriously believes anyone is going to offer him close to 10m net. Like Pajo says, if he's willing to accept around 4m net for a 3-year contract, i am all for it. Else, no thanks.

I would say the journalists fuck up with gross and net salary again. In Britain they usually report gross. No way Wijnaldum asking for 10m net = 20 gross, which is 4 or 5 times more than his current (4.5m gross).

Yeah this popped to my mind too. Actually I'd lean to this theory as the 10m€ net demand in these times would be just incredible, almost stupid.

I still wouldn't do it with 5m€ net (as that's the effectively the net for Gini in EPL). We can't drive up our wages this fast, we have our own players to pay first (Lautaro, Bastoni, Barella, De Vrij, Brozovic). And Gini wouldn't be even a starting player for us. We already have one expensive bench midfielder in Eriksen or Vidal (whoever plays, other one sits), can't have another.

Depends. If we are selling two of vecino, gagliardini, Sensi and vidal/eriksen, I'd be happy with it. Those first three are effectively giving us nothing, as much as I like Sensi. Would I trade their wages for gini on 5m a season, yeah. Liverpool fans love him and think he's seriously underrated. They really don't want to lose him.

He's a decent player but anything over 4.5m net is overpaying.

If its between Castrovilli and Locatelli as the next young Italian midfielder, I prefer Locatelli. Locatelli is like a mix between a left sided mezzala and a regista, someone who stays deep with long passing skills that could be well suited as an alternative for Eriksen.

Locatelli characteristics are also much more needed at Inter than Castrovilli's. If Sensi can regain a decent level of fitness, having Barella, Eriksen, Vidal, Sensi and Gags for two positions isn't that bad of a squad depth. In the regista role you basically only have Brozovic. There's also Eriksen who could play there but i believe he's much better as a LCM.
