Getting too cocky, if Favourites were to win it; Real Madrid, PSG and City would be in the final for the last 10 years. Just bank points in the league, so it's undeniable, and we can rest players when needed to win in Europe. I want at least semis and a 20th title.

We should get past Atletico, and hopefully, it's a rout at home 2 or 3 - 0 at home, making it an easy return leg.

we are in a better form as compared to atletico at the moment and we are set to play our best 11 for this match so we should be confident and try to play our own game. atletico defense is less solid this season so i hope we can have good score lead for the first leg and avoid any potential extra time game in the second leg.

I am not used to seeing us as favorites in CL knockout stages, so emotionally I'll stick to what I know to survive this one, i.e. mixture of excitement, dread, and tiny bit of hope under a pile of previous disappointments.

I actually dont have a good feeling about this. They are a weird team. Sometimes they look ever worse than Juve terror ball, but then suddenly turn into prime Barca...Hope we win the home game, but i think it will be a draw and then lets see what happens in Madrid. I can see this going into penalties.

It's the real test for De Vrij.

You can sense a great belief and confidence in the Inter team, but how will that confidence fair if they struggle against Atletico, and maybe even fail to progress to the next round?

I watched their game, tactically we should be superior again as long as Inzaghi does what he does and prep, however, the higher tempo, roughness in tackle, explosive is what I don't like from them.
Also the numbers they commit in attack is also not an usual thing we deal with, and it is not just in numbers, they attack multi-area at once, like mid-section, both half space and attempting on overloading one side (Koke basically move around to the active area, and Saul tugs in the middle as the pivot, but when sieging he occupies the half space, in very static way), interestingly they are not attempting on stretching but attacking multiple space, so defense cannot congest on one angle and squeeze the space out. They have a huge tendency on tug in the left WB as a extra midfield or transform into front 3, which they don't care much about the left flank open up, Bastoni to Barella/Darmian would be crucial.

These are just based on their last game, I don't know how they usually play.
I hope our match analytical team do their job, there is way more than this.

Anyway I don't want to type too much, I don't want to jinx anything, in Inzaghi we trust.

I think in this first leg they will play more defensive, to avoid Dimone to kill them on counters. In the other hand, in they're house, they play pure possession football with more people in attack

Yes if Atletico is like Roma's first half in steroid. The difference is that they can maintain for 90'.

High pressing all over the place. While we have zero player with dribbling ability, so we must lob the ball randomly to Lautaro and thats it.

Inzaghi ball is quick passing to exploit space and their style seems to be the kryptonite.
