What a clown. What would be the difference between playing with fans on Monday instead of Sunday? Does the virus take a break on weekdays and it spreads only during weekend?

Yep, this makes absolutely no sense as a statement. :yao: Why postpone the game by a single day?! I'm guessing it's to please jube of course, just buying time to "change the or minds" and try to drag us willingly into this.

But postponing the game to Monday doesn't favor rube either. They have the Coppa game vs milan on Wednesday. There is no way rube would agree to play both Inter and Milan with a one day gap.

So I'm guessing they would have cancelled the Coppa match if we had agreed to play them on Monday. In either case, rube would have only one important game this week giving their players enough rest and time for recovery at the expense of fucking up other teams' schedules.

Now this bastard of a Serie A president del peno is saying we CHOSE to be fucked voluntarily

Its collusion. Calciopoli 2.0. Inter will be forced to play every 2-3 days in May so that Juve can assure themselves of another Scudetto. This collusion is not even subtle, its open.

Marotta asked a very pointed question - how come Juve-Inter already has a new date, while Inter-Sampdoria is yet to be finalised? Its fucking obvious who is working with whom.
There is no Calciopoli 2.0 because Calciopoli never died to begin with. It only subsided for a while and came back to wreck more havoc. Rube are worse coranavirus.

I like Napoli’s suggestion. It is better to play the scum on Wednesday and postpone the Coppa to May.

- - - Updated - - -

From Football Italia:
Lega Serie A chief Paolo Dal Pino insists Inter “categorically refused” to play Juventus with open doors on Monday. “They should take responsibility and not talk of a distorted league.”

The row over the decision to postpone five Serie A games – including Juventus-Inter – to May 13 has caused huge controversy, as on Thursday it had been announced they would be played behind closed doors due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Inter director Beppe Marotta claimed the Lega Serie A moved to simply reschedule them without informing the clubs, creating a “distorted” fixture list and therefore changing the entire season.

Now Dal Pino has given his version of events to La Gazzetta dello Sport and it is very different to Marotta’s.

“On Friday, the general manager De Siervo and I proposed to Inter the idea of moving the game with Juventus to Monday evening so that it could be played with a crowd present.

“Inter categorically refused to take the field. So they should take responsibility for their decisions and not talk of unsporting situations or a distorted league.

“Marotta represents the needs of Inter, I have to look after the general interests of an entire Serie A division, which unfortunately means daily conflicts of interests tied to each and every club.

“My job is to promote Italian football and its image to the world, so transmitting games in empty stadiums would’ve been a terrible calling card for the country.

“The decision was down to me, but the clubs involved were contacted by telephone, so we know that they all had positions which were difficult to reconcile.

“We act with a sense of responsibility to protect the fans and the rights of all to attend the games, including the needs of the broadcasters to transmit images of full stands. I invite everyone to think of this as Serie A, not as individual clubs.

“I want to point out that in the Premier League, for example, there are regularly teams with games in hand for weeks on end due to the numerous cup competitions. So let’s not create a drama where there isn’t one.”

The lockdown order on three of the six regions affected by the Coronavirus outbreak – Piedmont, Liguria and Friuli – is due to expire at midnight tonight.

It has been renewed for another week in the areas where there are hundreds more cases than elsewhere – Lombardy (615), Veneto (191) and Emilia-Romagna (217).

From Wednesday, schools are due to reopen in Piedmont, so there could’ve been special dispensation to play with supporters in Turin, but not those travelling from Lombardy – eg Milan.

That's dumb. A Valencia fan contracted the virus when he was in Italy for the Atalanta match. Just because there are 3 confirmed cases in the region doesn't mean there aren't more infected ones. People will come from all over the world to watch the match and they'll return home afterwards. A recipe for disaster.
First case of corona in Croatia was also a man from this match. And after that his girl,brother...
In my opinion, juventus will eventually refund the tickets, cause sooner or later it will pop in their head that what they are doing is a PR nightmare.

But being the scum they are, it's also possible that they won't.

Of course, it will never occur to them that to refund is simply the morally right thing to do.
They are already in the war with their own fans cause of similar cases before.

They don't want to refund:
L’obbligo di giocare partite a porte chiuse, e/o eventuali chiusure di settori, e/o l’eventuale squalifica del campo e la disputa di partite in campo neutro, disposti per Legge o provvedimento di autorità pubbliche o sportive, non genereranno diritto al rimborso e le spese di trasferta saranno a carico del titolare del titolo di accesso.

To cancel this game, and in the matter of how it happened, is a way of tampering with the league.... I'am glad Conte and Marotta now know what it's like to be on the other side

One of the most memorable, if not infamous, matches between the two sides occurred in 1961, amidst a wave of controversy across the nation. The scoreline reads Juventus 9-1 Inter Milan, but the history is much more complex.

The match, which took place in June of 1961 really began in April of 1960. That day, Inter Milan were awarded a 2-0 victory after Juventus was disqualified when their fans invaded the pitch in the 30th minute.

Though the Nerazzuri appealed the decision to the FIGC right away, the judgement was not rendered until the last day of the season. On that day the governing body, which was headed up by Umberto Agnelli, who was also the president of Juventus, confirmed Juventus’ appeal, and Agnelli ordered the match be replayed.

Because Inter Milan had won the league by only one point, the decision was (understandably) seen as a way to hand Juventus the title. As a result Inter Milan president Helenio Herrera decided to field a youth team in protest.

The 9-1 victory remains Juventus’ biggest in their history, and earned them the Scudetto.
Anyone having "flashbacks"?

I think we should avoid overreaction and self-destruct by abstaining from games in any way. We have a case, so to speak, but it's not yet enough to creat an avelanch that's needed to stop this stuff imo

It would be tragic if on Wednesday after Coppa Italia match with Milan, certain Juventus players like C. Ronaldo suddenly get sick with Coronavirus. :trolldad:

I wonder who they would blame if this happens.

Can't believe the chief of the league cancelled the game on sunday behind closed doors yet suggested it to be played on Monday open to fans the next day and criticizes us about it.. That's so fucking sketchy it's unreal that these guys are running a professional football league. And they are talking about protecting their image of the league? Only thing you are protecting is juve and their finances. Fuck outta here.

Marotta: "The proposal was impractical and almost provocative. Only Juventus' public could have attended and that would have gone against the logic of protecting the public's health by assuming the disappearance of the Coronavirus in the span of 24 hours"
