The Derby d'Italia (English: Derby of Italy) is the name given to football matches between Internazionale of Milan and Juventus of Turin. The term was coined back in 1967 by Italian sports journalist Gianni Brera.

As the teams are from the two biggest cities in Northwest Italy, the derby has also come to represent a regional rivalry. Incidents from this fixture have occasionally made its way into political debates as Turin and Milan are regional capitals and their respective regions of Piedmont and Lombardy have mostly been ruled by various opposing parties.

OFFICIAL: on Thursday, Minister of Sports Vincenzo Spadafora has confirmed Derby d`Italia will be played behind closed doors. We are going into this battle with merda having their fans watching away from their filthy Allianz Stadium due to the coronavirus spreading in Italy. Let`s take this advantage and win!

UPDATE: It seems that merda mafiosi did not want this derby to be played this Sunday. Since they have their own people in the Lega Calcio and Federazione, why not have it postponed? Match will NOT be played on Sunday, 1st of March any more.

There is no room to post-pone so many games, due to previous decisions and Euro 2020 coming up.

Guys, this won`t get better for us. We must play without fear and also take advantage of fresh legs (juBentus played this weekend, while we didn`t).

I'm pretty sure their stadium is contaminated with something already.

Juventus should have Gonzalo Higuain back, whilst Douglas Costa could make it for this one. Miralem Pjanic has recovered from his muscle injury he picked up against Brescia, whilst Sami Khedira is back after his operation in the knee.

I only hope we`ll have Handanovic back by the time of this battle.

Is it official though, that it will be played without fans, or just very strong possibility?

I've been reading reports that Juve decided not to refund the fans for their tickets, scum move if it's true.

Fucking Coronavirus man.. I'd rather we postponed a big match like this which could possibly decide the Scudetto and instead have the fans there.

Probably something around 4m€ for the tickets. So you think Inter would have said no to 5m€ (we made that from the match last autumn)

That’s exactly why I’m asking. I read that also, which I thought it’s not set in stone that the game gonna be played with no fans.
Unless, there’s an official statement, which I haven’t see yet. Just bunch of rumors of the possibility.

I don't see how the situation will get better until the weekend. Chances are it'll only get worse since people will start showing symptoms after the incubation phase. So most likely it'll be played with no fans.

We refunded the europa league tickets. So yes I think inter would have. Amazing that it's happened in the same week so they stand out even more as scum
