We can all agree he wasn't worthy of a club like inter, but that wasn't his fault. He fought hard every time he was on the pitch and was honestly one of our best and most consistent players since 2011 as depressing as that may be... He left when the management wanted him to without a fuss. No issues with Yuto in my book. Good luck to him.

Not bad as Santon but surely was one of the worst most of the time.

Ehh, I think Nagatomo just became a symbol for a very mediocre period in inter history due to when he arrived and when he left. There is a reason why Naga always found away to start no matter how many fullbacks we brought in. Sure, that was mostly due to how terrible the fullbacks we brought in were, but I'd still contend Naga was one of the better players in that terrible span of our history for what it's worth.

Nagatomo didn't become a symbol because of how good he was on the field but because of his character and class.

:palm: oh my god, yea, he is the new zanetti. he should have retired with us.

----

he was amongst the worst though, especially in most of the seasons he played for us. catastrophic defending, useless in attack. he did improve near the end of his inter career. after he adapted to the league.

also the season with mazzarri, him and jhoony did ok. the football was atrocious, all the attacks went over the wings. cross after cross, after cross. fuck me, what a waste of time. shouldnt have watched that shit.

Symbol mediocrity. Perfect representation of the state of our club during post treble eras. A good performance followed by a thousand brain farts. Just like Inter management did for years.

How can anyone ask to put Yuto in LGI when Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic and Adiano isn't there?

That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard.

Probably because 2 of the 3 you mentioned also played for Milan, and one more played for Juve

Agreed. What exactly has he (or Inter) achieved to be even considered for La Grande Inter?

Meh when he came into a strong Inter side under Leonardo he was scoring for us. I think we should give him a poll for LGI only fair considering how long he was here.

No player has made me lose as much hair and mental stability as Nagatomo. He had an impact alright, not sure if it's a positive one.

Edit: Forgot about Kuzmanovic but Nagatomo is a close second.

What how?
So many players have been way worse and way more useless in that era! He never was great but he was not as bad as people make him out to be!

From the top of my head players who were more usless than him in the same era: Poldi, Kuzmanovic, Schelotto, Pereirra, Montoya, Zarate, Osvaldo, Vidic, Mvilla, Santon, J mario, Kondogbia, Rannochia, Belfodil, Johnatan, Obi, Laxalt, dodo, Taider, Poli, Gargano, Ansaldi ..... and i m pretty sure the list still goes on. Also keep in mind that most of these guys cost us a lot more than naga did.
Problem with naga is that he was avarage at best during his whole inter career maybe except for the first year where he was quite good.
