this is what i'm doing these minutes. he barely reached in 7 years the level you're supposed to reach in 6 months. you might want to review your idea of "fluent".

also, this is his twitter: https://twitter.com/YutoNagatomo5

I went through the latest months and couldn't find anything that wasn't in Japanese, except a "we are leaving for brunico".

I'll admit I exaggerated a bit, but the guy is closed in his own world of communication

Why learn a different language when all he's going to read are insults lol

It doesn't matter that he is Japanese or what language he speaks or how well...he just sucks on the pitch and belongs at a club like Cessna, not inter. The fact that he is still here is head-scratching and I think the discussion about his effort, attitude and competence came out of that.

But back on point, he should not be on this team..every time he was on the pitch last year it was an unmitigated disaster.

to be honest, i don't understand what point YOU are trying to prove. my point is very simple actually: people sometimes defend him claiming that he's at least a good guy and shit, but he's not.

he's not stupid (he has a Bachelors in economics), but when it comes to his actual job as a footballer, he just doesn't try hard enough. and it shows in everything, from the communication to (above all) the pitch.

Not trying hard enough in what? Tweeting in Italian? Not communicating with teammates?
Two things are certain: he's known to be the funny guy in the team - so he's interacting with them enough. And he works his ass off in training. What more do expect from his job as a footballer?

Nagatomo used to be good in the first 2 years with us. He was even quite good under mazzarri. Are you going to dispute that as well?

Now, the guy is clumsy as fuck and he's 31. That's all. That's enough to be considered a nightmare in any team. And I would like him out of the club like everyone else here.

But you're bringing up bs arguments like him not being a good person, his non-existent language barrier and his economics degree (wat?) to back our shared opinion that he's too shit to be starting any game for Inter.

Tbh, Biabiany is such a fucking dickhead for ignoring Nagatomo.

His sad excuse of decision making is astonishing.

The biggest mystery in world football is how the fuck Nagatomo has stayed at a club like Inter for 7 years. Especially when he's been shit for every one of them.

Unfuckingbelievable.

Fun fact:

Nagatomo has played more games for Inter than Vieri, Ronaldo, Adriano, Brehme, Crespo, Cruz, Djorkaeff, Eto'o, Ibrahimovic, Klinsmann, Mathaeus, Milito, Rummenigge, Simeone, Sneijder, and Zamorano.

Now he's close to beat Maicon, Pagliuca, Samuel, Jair, Recoba and Toldo.

The mystery of all mysteries. How did this even happen?

Because it's a testament of Nagatomo's greatness.

Staying 7 years for one of the absolute best clubs in Europe while making games, says a lot.

The guy barely understands English, let's not talk about italian. So I guess it's everything cool for him

Rubbish. There's a lots of videos where Nagatomo has spoken Italian in interviews...

yes, that's exactly and precisely what i'm saying. he is not a professional. he is not stupid but never tried enough. that's why he didn't even reach that level of mediocrity you'd expect from a guy who has played for so long in serie A.

and that pisses me off.

as for the language thing, since you're insisting on that, i already admitted i exaggerated (for the sake of the joke) but for what it's worth his italian is very poor, even after 7 years.

Ehm... Like taking some fucking time inside the box without either passing, dribbling or creating an actual occasion?

Inter were attacking and Nagatomo made a run to create a chance of crossing the ball and open up some space.

Biabiany is braindead, really...

I think Biabiany should've stuck to being a sprinter than a footballer... he's fucking dire at litteray everything.

It took Biabia 7 seconds to decide who to pass to:palm: I honestly dislike him more than Yuto. If it wasn't for his wife I wouldn't follow him on Insta:lol:

I didn't think that he was good in his first two years with Inter. I've never thought that he's Inter material since his first season and totally against having him at Inter.

During that time, people were supporting him at this forum and ignored his obvious mediocrity just because he plays for Inter. He's always been mediocre, but now he's even worse.

I remember criticising him back then and people jumping to his defense..

The only decent period he had was for 6-8 games under Mazzari, and if I remember correctly he got injured and played terribly again.

maybe it's because people are more keen to forgiving mistakes at the beginning: they still don't know the player very well, maybe think "there is potential or they wouldn't have bought him" and are willing to cut him some slack cause he's new and still needs time to adapt to the new team.

but that only lasts some months, up to one year. or two for youngsters.
